I keep seeing (hearing) new acronyms for medical conditions, therapies, etc.

When I was working, there were some that we used (CHF, eg), but it was nowhere as ubiquitous as I see today.

HRT
AUD
TBI
AMD (which can process to GA!)
CKD
ARF

And a host of others.

Yeah, they repeatedly check my FEV1 to look for warning signs for AMR or BOS. I had a BAL 10 days ago which ruled out NTM, RSV, and a number of other pathogens. My medication-induced CKD is monitored on a monthly basis too (stable for years at stage 3).
