@Horace said in See? This is the shit that has me close to violent revolt!: This is what happens when an entire mainstream culture is so convinced of their righteousness, that they think nothing of convincing kids to lie to their parents, just in case their parents are one of those people. @Mik said in $275,000,000: @Doctor-Phibes said in $275,000,000: Is he best at the throwing, the running or the kicking? I was thinking of giving my son some career advice, and it would be nice to know which bit he should focus on. Well, I don't think the quarterback is allowed to kick anybody.... Ben kicked a lot… Link to video

Pence would be a good president administratively. He just doesn't have the personality on the stage to win everyone over. I suspect he's much different one on one.

@Doctor-Phibes said in Speed Kills: @89th said in Speed Kills: We had some great planes entering the scene just as the war ended. It's also mind boggling to think of how quickly the country responded to the engineering, production, and distribution of so many warfighting needs. Mrs. Phibes' grandfather was in the team that developed the first radar to go into a Lancaster bomber during WW2. He was a truly brilliant man, but when he told us about the development of it - he said they really had no idea what they were doing, they tried all sorts of weird experiments, and then somehow they managed to get it working in an unbelievably short period of time. Sometimes, you just run across something that works. The interesting story of how we forgot to make FOGBANK... https://m. Link to video

I shipped the return the day after I posted this. I packaged it well, LOL. It arrived on Tuesday, Sept 5. eBay notified me that I should receive a refund by Sept 7 (Thursday - yesterday), and if I didn't, to contact them. I didn't, so I contacted them today at about 7:45 AM. 20 minutes later: [image: 1694180218113-screenshot-2023-09-08-at-8.35.44-am.png] 5 minutes after that... [image: 1694180317271-screenshot-2023-09-08-at-8.37.22-am.png] I wonder how this works - considering the refund was so quick, I imagine eBay charges the credit card that the seller has on file with them.

@Jolly said in Biden's Foreign Policy for the Emerging Markets: the quality of Japanese construction projects. Absolutely, Have seen a lot of Asian E&C company's and have been most imprsessed with the Japanese (Toyo, Chiyoda, Dai Ichi, etc.). They all do top notch work, but they have been having problems recently because they are quite a bit more expensive. The Chinese have not been very popular (outside of China) because, as @Mik says, their quality is not so good. Most popular right now is probably the Korean company's (Samsung, Daelim, etc)

@89th said in "When to ask?": Even age 13 is too young. I still remember girls in middle school who were obsessed with boys only to turn lesbian after high school dating me.
