Good article. (But there is a tendency to make over romantic the past. And kids may not understand the reality of what adults are going through, especially in a farming community. There is a reason why the average age of farmers is getting older and older, not only in the US, but many other places. Farming is hard hard work, long long hours, and there is so much a person cannot control (pests, weather, world events that will affect crop prices, etc.)). [image: ?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.usnews.com%2Fcmsmedia%2F66%2F53%2Feb3267924efc9bf07aa25782fe8b%2F140224-datafarms1-editorial.jpg&f=1&nofb=1&ipt=72c78c82ff6b5f3d7147f64088b872e38645fd02d0cdd99444ecc6b04d8f2b69&ipo=images] I know I have mentioned a movie - Midnight in Paris. A guy from modern times goes back to 1920's because he thinks it is the best time. Someone from that period wants to go back to 1890's because THAT was the best time.

Lectured Europeans about freedom and Western values. Voted with Russia and North Korea in the UN. Voted again with Russia and North Kore in the UN. Oops, I did it again! Finally achieved tumescence. Melania had a headache.

@Klaus said in Well, what DID you get done last week?: Jerked off 5 times in a single day. Wow, you were even more excited about the Cobra Kai finale than I was!

@Horace Glad you turned out okay. @Doctor-Phibes what a pretty area! Hope you didn't have any experience with the stocks!! @89th A pretty common style of old time houses. I was from a village (Nan Kun Sheng) which is actually pretty close to Tainan city. About maybe 45 minutes via the new express road. Your house looks very "Americana". (PS. Wise words about childhood!) @copper. What an impressive church!! (and a nice house) @jon-nyc @Mik Thanks for the memories!

https://epson.com/For-Home/Scanners/Photo-Scanners/Epson-Perfection-V600-Photo-Scanner/p/B11B198011 I have this one. I used to try and take pictures only with film camera. I did save most of my negatives, and the above scanner can to negative also with photos. Like @Wim I did the photos one by one at high settings. Seemed to work best for me.

The middle aged ladies of Bluesky appear to believe their naughty bits continue to provide them leverage in the public conversation. Maybe they're the last generation who, as young ladies, did have a great deal of leverage.

I think that the % who identify and those who actually are are very different. As @Mik says, kind of fashion statement these days.

It would be a much more disciplined approach. I’d like to think Musk was doing the same but I see no evidence of that.

Meh, tear it down. Tear it all down. Then rebuild it. The largest job growth over the last few years? Federal Government. Highest median wages? Federal Government. Best benefits and job security (before November)? Federal Government.

@Klaus said in German Election: Oh I see. But given that more young people voted left-wing your caption doesn't seem to be consistent with the graphics. It’s not about the actual number, it’s about the significant growth. It’s a far larger number than a few short years ago.

I was surprised that the funeral was only yesterday. I thought they buried the bastard within a day or two of his demise.

So we can thank the uncompromising self-righteousness of the western left for the corner it's painted itself into. Yes, you don't have to look too hard to find leftists proudly saying that they're content to die on the right side of history, rather than win political games in the near term. So, I say, let them die on the side of their delusional version of what history will actually be. Win/win.
