Got to the gym when they opened at 7. Missed all the resolutionaries.

I'm down to 250 and I'm barely even trying anymore, except when doing resistance training. The diet is easy. I haven't been doing cardio but with diet and resistance training, the weight can come off. I guess I should start up the cardio again because of my diabetes. Not sure how much that matters relative to weight and diet, for controlling diabetes.

        Education is extremely important.

Up at 5am and my only resistance training was lifting dishes emptying the dishwasher. Now I’m un-decorating the Christmas tree. Attempting (as a resolution) to go back to cutting out added sugar, but I just made “all the leftover different kinds of chocolate bits in the baking cabinet” cookie bars…

That’s great Horace. You’re down, what, 100 or so from peak? That’s awesome.

Re the cardio, WWPAD? (What would Peter Attia do?)

@jon-nyc My max was 320. I've lost 70 pounds of fat plus however much muscle I've managed to gain during that period.

Horace - that's wonderful news!! Dedication and consistency are the key - and you've done well.

I did manage to buy another piece of equipment - probably the last important piece and it will replace/supplement bands that I use. Last year, I took up an online Pilates program - and have been pretty dedicated to it. It doesn't interfere with the rest of my workouts - and forced me to work on things I hadn't previously worked on.

Nice. Pilates is great. Janet has been going a few times a week for three years or so now. It’s made a big difference.
