@xenon said in Nate's gut says Trump will win...:

You know, maybe its the avalanche of shit that he's gone through over the past decade. I'd say most of it brought on by himself. But still - he's gone through shit like no one I know... and.. I dunno... maybe Americans like a fighter.

There's something there, I can't put my finger on it. There's obviously something there.

Good points in this thread. Yeah, Americans want a leader, warts and all.

Let's see whether this adds anything to the board. If it is annoying I can always disable it.

Paragliders are for a few hundred meters over a border. That limits the options.

True, if your thinking is that limited.

operatives trained to build light aircraft and drones from “off the shelf” materials available in large home improvement stores

Al Qaeda operative traveled from Afghanistan to Saudi Arabia for financing, tasked with developing a weaponized drone capability for use against the US or its interests overseas

“As (CIA Director) Tenet told us, ‘The system was blinking red in the Summer of 2001.’ Officials were alerted across the world. Many were doing everything they possibly could to respond to the threats. Yet no one working on these late leads in the Summer of 2001 connected the case in his or her in-box to the threat reports agitating senior officials and being briefed to the President..”

And airliners are only good for transporting people.

I assume the wapo investigative journalism is behind a paywall. I wonder if technically it’s true that musk was temporarily illegal, or whether there are built in grace periods or grandfathering. I am aware that overstaying a visa or improperly using a visa needs to be disclosed when applying for a new one. Yet Musk’s transition went through.

Someone new seems to be selecting democrat leaders.

    It certainly isn't voters.

    Where's the joy?

Existential Threat is the narrative. It is not a time for joy when Orange Bad Man is trying to unmake existence.

@LuFins-Dad said in The Washington Post finally addresses the incoherent conversations and mixed words by the president:

print the Iranian hacked Trump emails.

DIdn't they hack both campaigns? Now that would be interesting.

    @Horace said in Space Stocks?:

If something seems like an obvious play, don't let that stop you from buying, on the principle that it must already be priced into the market. Anybody who bought the obvious NVidia after AI made its huge splash, has tripled their money.

Yeah, I’m thinking RocketLab for a start. They’ve already had a decent jump over the last few months, but I think the curve idle still going up. But I would love to find something involved with SpaceX.

It's to prevent fights, and to prevent intimidation. Can you imagine going to a polling place and seeing a hundred elderly white women wearing "Hate Has No Home Here" shirts? It would be terrifying.
