I also noticed the "ring" in northeast Canada, and just learned about the "Eye of Quebec" (aka Manicouagan Reservoir, aka Rene-Levasseur Island), which was created by a 3-mile wide meteor 214 million years ago (7.1 billion Scaramuccis).
