Works for me. Nonstop is where it's at.

Yeah. And even here, where non-stop isn’t in doubt, I’d rather have four flights to London a day than 2.

Plus boarding a plane that seats 400+ sucks ass.

My son is an aviation geek and we managed to get him on both an A380 and a 747 before they stopped the programs. The A380 trip, NY-Frankfurt on Lufthansa, was my only ride on one. I’d been on a number of 747s though.

We took a 777 to Hawaii and back. It was ok, although I was not impressed by the first class pods. It’s a reclining coach space.

              The engines are huge.

We walked into one at LHR from a mobile staircase in the tarmac. We walked right by the engine which had a diameter greater than my height. I said ‘wow, look at the size of that engine’ to my son, thinking he would be impressed. He rolls his eyes at me and says ‘it’s a GE 90, Dad, of course it’s huge. He was 9.

Maybe he’ll come work in Cincinnati at GE Aviation

Thai Airlines has/had some A380's. For me mostly, it seemed like a regular plane. They boarded/deboarded on two levels, so unless you went to the stairs on the plane and went up or down, just seemed like each floor was a regular plane. LOL

re:747. Loved sitting in the upper cabin. Kind of like your own private plane. Probably my favorite. 😍
