We have a candidate who is a felon (pending appeal) because of a lawfare bogus trial.

@89th said in Back to school?: Good luck! Have you considered only taking one class per year? This reduces your out of pocket costs and increases the number of years you'll have parties like this. Points if you know where this is from: That would take 10 years. I would like to finish in 3. I would be concerned that the math I learned in year one would be obsolete by year 10. If I'm to be a hip new graduate with a fresh math degree, I need to be up on all the new math. I can't wait. Recently on Joe Rogan, Terrence Howard was explaining how 1x1=2. That's the sort of thing I'll be learning about in this program. Hot take 1: Wow, it's almost like they knew Trump would be a President who would refuse to accept his election loss 4 years later and incite an insurrection. Hot take 2: That video is so bad. These folks are no better than those who stormed the Capitol. Hot take 3: I love how Martin Sheen waits until the director says "action" to put on his glasses for intellectual effect. Hot take 4: How are these celebrities (I don't know half of them) not aware of how CRINGEY these types of videos are? Further, their political and patriotic qualifications of why electors should listen to them are...they can memorize lines for a tv show?

I've never liked Sullivan. Just because you are a public figure, you should be able to function under the same law as everybody else. And I think a return to pre-Sullivan might actually be beneficial to journalism.

During the Rittenhouse trial, I started watching some "LawTube" lawyers. One of them, Nick Rikieta had up to 100,000 people watching his stream at a time. He commented that because of this, and his coverage during the Depp-Heard trial, he earned enough to buy a car, a "very nice car." Some of these popular LawTubers are getting as much as 40K people during their streams and recaps. I don't know how that translates to monetization, but, lawyers being lawyers, if there's money to be made, they'll do it. As an aside, Rikieta was arrested last month for possession of drugs and child endangerment.

Agree it often comes down to humidity (dew point). I can do 90 degrees if it's breezy and I'm under the shade of a big tree. That's down-right pleasant. Otherwise, I'm in George's camp. You can only get so naked... give me very cold over very hot any day. Luckily here in Minnesoooooota they have lots of indoor facilities during the winter where you can run track, play baseball, playgrounds, etc. Most fields get one of those temporary white pressure domes over it during the winter. Plus hot food tastes amazing after coming in from the cold.

HIS are no substitute for clinicians knowing their stuff, particularly when it comes to opiates and babies. Another good reason to distrust AI medicine.
