Do you one better...His office has about run my SIL's husband nuts. The Whitehouse was on the phone Thursday afternoon, demanding statistics on crop damage. Hell, Thursday afternoon the storm was still in Shreveport.

Couple of thoughts: not wireless charging: swap phone connection to car when you get into car, swap phone connection to power bank when you get home wireless charging: get something to secure your phone to the power bank (Velcro strap, painter’s tape, etc.) so it stays correctly aligned with the wireless charging pad despite motions and vibrations of the car Good luck.

Marketed as “Wi-Fi 6”, 802.11ax is already present in the latest iPad Pro, and you can buy “W-Fi 6” routers from the typical consumer electronics outlets today. Your new iPhone and future new Macs will have it too. There is no escaping it, 802.11ax will take over the world.

@Horace said in Jake Parker: Alleged Plaigarist: Huh. I guess the potential for a "the-ghost-writer-did-it" defense is abandoned. It's not even actionable if he never sells the book, right? Maybe alphonso played his cards too soon. I don't know. Where I'm at now is: Dunn showed his notes, exactly where his method of interpreting the fundamentals came from. Parker clams up, gets legal, but then never distributes the book? Then he's a lying ass dog. He provides some kind of explanation on his method of interpreting the fundamentals (notes would be helpful), okay, I'll be open to the "outrageous coincidence" defense. A huge strike against him is that Dunn's book provides techniques to learn how to do street sketches, not cartoons. Because that's what Dunn makes. Parker's a cartoonist.

@Axtremus I have no clue. I just send it all to the payroll service (in my case, Square) company and let them deal with it.

ATTA BOY, AX!! I'd need a big belt, with "world champian pianos player" buckle. Are your works published? Even if free, available online, you can make quite a chunk of money for your efforts, if you don't mind only a few thousand $'s for a work or two. Try both: www.rightscentral.com (use the www), or https://www.rightscentral.com even www.copyright.com will get you to the main redirect. Sign up. It's easy, and certainly worth the effort if you'd like to get your stuff out there. I definitely liked the boogie, but frankly not too keen on the title. Larry, if you catch him in a good mood, might have other recommendations other than the standard ASCAP and BMI. I'm a member, but not sure if there are certain requirements. It was pretty much automatic as a college prof, years ago. The www.rightscentral.com has been easiest, I just get a check out of the blue a couple of times each year. Once you are "out there" so to speak, you could submit works to Hal Leonard in the U.S., since they own or distribute pretty much all publishers worldwide in the U.S. But I know from experience their standard answer is "no." Oxford University Press is great for choral works, as they do look for unique and new, I have made a few bucks over the years through them. I think most every publisher is like a brick wall, like the recording industry, but the music publishers are always hoping to discover the next Arvo Part (don't know how to add an umlaut where required). And for all of the helpful, friendly advice from your pal, me, I'd only take like 50% of royalties, unless you are already signed up to the above, in which case once again, I get screwed from being rich and famous. If you're familiar with all of the above, well then SCREW YOU JACK. See, I don't want you to think I all of a sudden got all nice or something.(!)

@Horace said in Hey Horace: Nice. How many cups did you get out of it? Good stuff? About 12. Very, very good! Meileaf. Even with the import tax it's about $0.28 per cup. Compare that to, I shit you not, some apricot/tea horseshit at a local "tea emporium" sold at about $0.35 per cup.

@Klaus said in Borat was prescient: @George-K I am. Had too much wine for dinner and can’t sleep One of my personal curses is the need to awaken at about 01:00 to 02:00 for a visit to the lav.... Then, I can't get back to sleep for a couple of hours. When I do, I'm lucky if I sleep until 6:00. Usually I sleep from 21:00 or 22:00 to 05:00.
