The band failed to keep up with the context of their times. A long history of hi-jinx, and definitely not afraid of consequences, apparently took a step too far and went out on its own terms.

It was a very strange day - I work about 20 mi outside the city, and remember the roads being almost deserted even out there. Typically, marathon day is a PITA for traffic. Some people here still have signs up 'Boston Strong', and pictures of the 8-year old boy who died. It feels so much worse when the victims are children.

It is obviously child abuse. But, dropping your pants and wiggling your bottom is a required skill in today's entertainment industry. Look at the headlining females in any of the last several Super Bowls. The bottom must be exposed and wiggle or forget it.
