It was a madhouse (and they were sold out of both shrimp and berries, Northern VA is so spastic). FIFY. I'm pretty sure Northern Virginia is where Dave Chappelle gets his best material on white people. Seriously... Plenty of regular milk... Almond milk otoh? Bread was well stocked... Ciabatta rolls? Gone...

You must be considering me a centrist? I certainly consider myself left-leaning. Did you muster a tinge of outrage? Maybe I missed it. I remember Mark making fun of right-leaning media calling it out for what it was. He thought it was funny that Fox news had convinced people it was a big deal.

I agree McCarthy is misframing this as an ‘amendment’ However I suspect Justin Amash was right the other day when he said that everything that needs to be illegal post Jan 6th is already illegal, and this is just a bill designed to make it easier to investigate Americans without due process

Is it really wise to put these two prototypes so close together? What if a failure drops one on top of the other?

Has anyone sold 2nd hand stuff via Christie’s or Sotheby’s? What sort of listing fee and/or sales commission do they charge?

@axtremus said in Anybody watching Wandavision?: If you have watched the Avengers movies #2 (“Ultron”) and #3 (“Infinity War”), you have enough background to make sense of Wanda Vision. I would add End Game to that list as well.

@doctor-phibes said in Thoughts on "our new normal": @horace said in Thoughts on "our new normal": @doctor-phibes said in Thoughts on "our new normal": I have a team meeting every couple of days, and have a couple of people I'm getting a bit concerned about. I think if you live alone, particularly where the lockdowns are more draconian, this situation could get really miserable. I have a team member in the UK, and there's another guy in Dublin, and they are struggling. How are their symptoms presenting? High stress, anxiety, over-reacting to relatively minor things That must be hard to watch. One of my husband's coworkers got with 3-4 other single co-workers and rented a beach house together. I thought that was a great idea. Much better than being alone.

@loki I’m not sure I understand your question...If a flag was used during an insurrection does it make a difference to who? The insurrectionists? The general public? And what kind of a difference? Does it make it better? Like “Well, they tried to stop the certification of electors but they were wearing flag t-shirts so they must not be too bad...” ? Or do you mean, “It was bad enough what they did, but to do it under the guise of patriotism and the flag is worse!”? If it’s the latter, I agree. Glad they are going to jail. Have they arrested the guys that trashed the Steinway store in Philly yet?

Is there a little hydropower generator built into the thing? How else you’re going to power the electronics? And do they use discreet mechanical buttons for controls? Why would you do that when you know he users will fiddle with the controls with wet fingers? EDIT/addendum: found my answer, the speaker is removable and you charge it through a USB port.
