Yeah that's not a good marriage. And, contrary to what pop culture would have us believe, and consistent with what I've always observed, it's the woman who can't compromise and exist with the man.

WOw! That is very neat. Did not realize the amount of work that was in there.

(PS Thought it was funny near the end of the video when talking about breaking teh stem and putting the ornament hook on - the work had a bandage on their finger. Probably pretty common to be cut on the job. LOL)

So far, Cock n Bull is my favorite - and the spiciest that I’ve tried. And I don’t like it when ginger beer is too sweet.

I'm going to have to try and find that. The stuff I grew up with - Schweppes and Idris, was a lot less sweet than most of what's available in the US.

I've discovered that mixing it half-and-half with a strong IPA makes a really delicious drink, and also means I can drink it out of 22 oz glasses, and so don't feel like a complete loser for watering it down due to my manly glass.

    Nice piece.

I wasn't aware that SNL pulled punches against Trump supporters. I'm glad to hear they did. Certainly that is not a test many leftists I observed online and in real life were able to pass.

The class that chronicles America's divisions continuously underestimates how much of what polarizes us is also about them. Last year, a study found that those who read more news and post more about it online were more likely to disparage the other side than less engaged Americans. Unlike Republicans, the more education Democrats attained the less likely they were to correctly gauge the views of the other side. Democrats with a postgraduate degree were three times less accurate in describing Republican stances than Democrats who did not graduate high school. Democrats were also more likely to have like-minded friends. Half of liberal Democrats, compared to a third of conservative Republicans, also oppose a family member marrying someone of the other political tribe.

I remember that study, I think we discussed it here. Again, it coincides with my observations online and in real life.

There's a gay comic named James Adomian who titled an album that way.

A superb performance. I've always liked Sokolov's playing, especially his live performance of the Chopin Preludes. One of the best I've ever heard. I have to admit liking Rubinstein's Rach 2 even though it might lack the passion of Sokolov's performance. I think it's because it was the very first LP I collected of this work. Recorded with Reiner and the Chicago SO.

I think maybe 2 out of 3 updates freeze like that on my Mac

I'll give it a couple hours when it seems frozen, I have seen it un-freeze after an hour or more

Then I just power it off and back on and it recovers. I figure at some point there is no other choice

There have been a couple of recent forum posts and forum threads about religion and people who are saying they are religious.

What is the definition of a religious person?

Is it more actions, (the way you conduct yourself), or is it something you believe in.?

Example, someone can say they believe in a God, but then go rob a bank. Or someone can say they don’t believe in God, but they live a really good life.

I’m just curious as to what people think is a religious person.

What is it that you're wanting to know - do you want to know God, or are you just interested in defining the word "religion"?

I guess I was trying to answer the question in my mind:

Can someone believes strongly in god but is a really bad person be considered religious?
Can someone who does not believe in a god but who is a really good person be considered religious?

    Typically:

    1 Yes. (Al Qaida)
    2 No. (Moonbat)

The religious are people who take seriously the mythology of old cults.

Then how do you know you are a really good person?

I use the leader of the free world as a benchmark.
