@klaus said in Generators: Wouldn't it make sense to have a generator combined with a battery? That way one could have very high peak power but still get by with a small generator, no? Cost, I would imagine. Good deep-cycle batteries like you see with a solar set-up are expensive.

Incorrect sentencing. Treat her like a man who doped up a kid and assaulted a child.

@jon-nyc said in Tax Relief from the Biden administration: But, on principle, don’t make me pay taxes on my taxes. Conservatives used to believe in this principle. Now they need the Democrats to bail them out.

About the same as George's, but the door swings out. Mostly dry goods, soup, peanut butter, cereal, chips, juice, pasta, nuts. There is a second one that is about the same size just around the corner in the master bedroom, that holds paper supplies.

If not for the agreement about fixed wing, I bet the Army would love it. It fits a lot of the mission profile of the old Bronco, but with a lot more ordinance.

Wrong focus. The best time to use these drugs are early in the disease process in the most at-risk patients. I'd like to see a study on that...

@jon-nyc said in On Cuomo and Nursing Homes: @loki Right but the policy predates the FEMA hospitals and the navy ship. Could very well be that the reversal of the policy came way too late but I’ll bet the damage was heavily front loaded. You are getting a sense of our allocation of resources now to nursing homes. Care at end stage. You know we could add it to the list, free college, free healthcare, UBI, massive upgrade of end stage care. We will see who has the appetite to look real close there.

@jon-nyc said in Rethinking the Lockdown: His IFR estimate is, to say the least, heterodox. And his entire argument rests on it. Would be nice if it were true. First dose effective in two weeks and 30-40% asymptomatic not tested are other variables.

It resonated with me other than the section on the validity of the concerns over election fraud. My contention over that has always been that the left would absolutely cheat in the election if given the chance. I mean rank and file TDS sufferers, not just powerful people in smoky rooms. Righteous hatred, such as TDS, will necessarily convince people that they should do anything it takes. But I did always trust that the systems held up, and I do think Occam's razor is that Trump just couldn't admit defeat.
