Good piece. Especially among the plethora of 'glad he's dead'.

His lead is not being followed. He led with healing and unifying the country. He can abandon it. But if it is a goal, I will point out every time that it is not happening . Putting forth a rhetorical bill is particularly spiteful. Trump incited a Capitol invasion, cry me a fucking river. Don't let hate get in the way of your intelligence. Dont let them rewrite history to fit their narrative. Nobody is rewriting history. You're entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts.

I suggest the best way, if one really wanted to avoid tears, is with swimming goggles.

Good! Won’t spoil as easily in a prolonged power outage.

Is Ira promoting a book? Why, yes. He is. And Maxwell is in no position to comment one way or the other.

@axtremus said in Bob Dole: May Sen. Dole be nestled in love by his family and be spared of agony in his remaining days on Earth. @jon-nyc said in Bob Dole: Old school Senator. We need a new generation of guys like him. The problem is not that we don’t have “guys like him.” The problem is that we don’t have enough people who would vote for guys like him. Yep.

@renauda said in "Stop Dripping": @jolly Okay. Then the shut off should right at where the water line enters the house. I changed ours up a couple years ago and went to a ball valve. The old style needle valve just before the metre would not close completely any more. The line into the old valve was soft copper and line out was into rigid. Saved a ton of money by putting in the ball valve into the rigid copper behind the old metre (which is no longer used anyway). That's about all you can do. And many times the valve at the house is underground, so you have to dig it up and hope that it will turn. Most often, you have to turn it off at the meter. That usyally requires a special wrench or at least a 12" crescent and a decent sized screwdriver through the hole in the handle for leverage.

@mik said in Rubio v. Ivanka? Ouch!: Rubio has zero chance of getting the White House. So, the same as Mr. Trump 5 years ago.

Everybody knows that. The idea has always been that when the limit is reached the ‘mining’ won’t be compensated from seigniorage (new coins added to the money supply) but from essentially a transaction tax. That’s what I meant by ‘charge for it’.
