I agree with @Loki I dont think it will happen. The Democrats will use the issue to try and get their voters out to vote. The Republics will use the issue to try and get their voters out to vote. We had a thread recently about some Biden fanboi historian saying that Biden had a list of well-defined existential threats to America, along with solutions to all of them. The historian didn't list those well-defined existential threats (which is really too bad, since a thing being well defined lends itself to being described!), but I think this is clearly one of them. Imagine a child becoming ill and in need of hospitalization, only to find there are no beds available, with every single one occupied by a drooling, demented vegetable. Biden literally feels the pain of those drooling, demented vegetables, and by god he'll incoherently babble something about it if it's the last thing he incoherently babbles.
