The adrenaline from the doofusses taking selfies prolonged his life.

Without them, he would have died on the 6th.

    Related but not really related.

I thought a quorum was one more than half? If the Republics had a majority, did they not have a quorum also?

(Of course, Texas may have different rules for quorum or maybe there are three or more parties involved?)

“What should we name our rocket?”
“That depends if it’s cool or not.”
    “It’s definitely cool.”

This is SpaceX, a company that named their recovery barge "Of Course I Still Love You." It's a nod to "The Culture" books.

As you know, I read a lot of science fiction, and I'm always intrigued by the names that are given to rockets and ships.

I'm currently immersed in the "Revelation Space" world, and there are some pretty good names for their ships:

    "Nostalgia for Infinity"
    "Lighthugger"
    "Accompaniment of Shadows"
    "Gnostic Ascension"
    "Scavenger's Daughter"

In The Expanse, my favorite name was "The Weeping Somnambulist."

In "The Culture" universe, things get more clever:

    "No More Mr Nice Guy"
"Just Read The Instructions" - also used by SpaceX.
"I Thought He Was With You"

    John Scalzi's no slouch either:

    "Yes, Sir, That’s My Baby"
    "Tell Me Another One"

I'm not talking about his reprehensible personality, his erratic behavior, his off-the-cuff remarks, his (yeah @89th , I'm looking at you) lies. What actual policies were bad for the country. What "evil" has he perpetrated?

As I have been known to do 😀 I will repeat myself.

I’ve said many times I thought Trump pushed the conservative agenda forward nicely on many fronts (most significantly on the Supreme Court).

Heck, I was considering voting for him as of his Jan 2020 State of the Union speech... however my primary issues with him include his incessant lying and making up facts on the fly (or even using the Bible as a photo-op prop?), but the main issues for me were his handling of Covid early on...major fumbles and poor leadership, and ultimately his absolute cardinal sin of democracy of not accepting his election loss. How any conservative is fine with that is beyond me...an absolute cornerstone of democracy was rejected by Trump.

Anyway...so again, my main issues were his lying, fumbling of the greatest health crisis in a generation, and his anti-democratic handling of his election loss.

If anyone's interested, there's a nice paper from 1976 (!) that goes into the details.

    https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/0020019076900715

For instance, you can do a binary search for the first phase, that is, not just double but initially you double, then quadruple, then times 8 and so forth. That would reduce the number of guesses in the first phase to around lg(lg(N)) instead of lg(N) while also not making the search interval for the second phase too big.

I can see two sides to this. From a general recognized diplomatic "laws", the embassy of a country (weather or not you agree with that country) is their territory.

Breaking into a embassy is a big big deal.

You may not like DPRK, you may be genuine in wanting to help the person inside the embassy, but still...........

Look at another scene. A Russian person takes shelter in the US embassy in Moscow. Group X breaks into the embassy to grab him. Is that okay?

Yeah, he only turned into a miserable old twat ranting away in the wilderness once they took away his Twitter. Before that he was the Cary Grant of American politics. Charm, sophistication, great hair....

    Rapier wit.

He had a hard time getting dates but I don’t think he ever raped anyone.

    Well, maybe. See Bill Cosby.
