Low bridges are racist

Damnit! They are falling apart too soon!

I don't like what the guy says, but the quote is deliberately omitting some important context that makes the statement significantly less insane.
They're referring to Robert Moses.

They're referring to Robert Moses.
If you follow the twitter thread, that's stated.
But, for the ignoranti, who know nothing of the context, which "Mayor Pete" didn't explain, it sounds pretty stupid.
But, then, in fairness, this administration's messaging is wanting.

Who doesn't know about Robert Moses and this claim about urban planning? I never saw the twitter thread; didn't need to.

Just something I never learned. Not important in my education, just like the Krebs cycle or the way a Wheatstone bridge are not important in yours.

FWIW, I learned the Krebs cycle. The Wheatstone bridge, however, I would guess is in Wheatstone.
The thing with Moses is (or was) talked about often enough, but the story resurfaced in "Motherless Brooklyn." Those alleged racist bridges? My wife and I drive under 'em every time we go to my in-laws'.

Turns out the whole βMoses built racist bridgesβ thing is totally debunked. https://abcnews4.com/news/nation-world/washington-post-fact-checker-backtracks-support-for-buttigiegs-claims-on-racist-highways

Is the Krebs cycle what that creepy German woman used to ride to work on?
