Well, the software is presumably not written in China. It's not impossible, but it would be much harder to fiddle with the hardware without Apple knowing about it.

Looking back... I remember back in 1980, anything much under 700 grams, we let die in the corner. We simply did not have the technology available in our part of the world to save them.

@George-K there is a podcast called "Blockbuster" you might like. It's created by a film score enthusiast but does a pretty good job at "acting" (via audio, obviously) the story of various subjects.
