Yet I can legally buy weed in dispensaries all over the state, no medical need required, just an ID.

And pay a ton of taxes, LOL.

Here’s the thing… I’m a regular at my take out places. They know my orders, they know my number. While I am not a fan of tipping for takeout, I am also not a fan of having unknown surprises in my food…

I dunno. Around my area, tipping for takeout isn't really a thing. Restaurants don't expect it.

A few years back I was at a coffee shop in southern VA. I got a coffee at the counter, and didn’t feel like carrying around the $.37 change, so I asked the girl at the counter where her tip jar was. She looked at me like I was nuts. “Tips?” I told her that most every place in Northern VA had top jars…

The next day I stopped by for another coffee and the girl was excited to see me, pointing out the brand new mason jar with TIPS written in sharpie on a white label…

Take out places may not expect tips, until they get tips. Once they get tips, the expectations change…

    I normally go 10%, 15% if I am a regular.

Let's see what the drug tests reveal.

That being said, Cavendish is indeed a beast.

I suspect that Cavendish is a lot cleaner than Merckz was when he set the record.

In a vacuum, yes. But, it's professional cycling. I wonder if Cavendish is pulling the asthma card.

To be honest, if Cavendish were doping, I think he would look better on the climbs.

Sigh. Poor Ax. He makes a perfectly obvious point -- to take your offering elsewhere if you don't like the venue -- and everybody falls on him like an avalanche.

Why? Because it's Ax, and that's what we do.

Then get your electricity from whomever you please. And if you can't, toughsky shitsky, start your own electric company.

That is the point Ax is making. I'm sure it's obvious, but it certainly is flawed...

The Prusa 3D printers and kits come with a pocket size bag. Several experienced builders had told us that that little bag just wasn't enough to get through the build, especially when two people are going to participate in the build.

So I ordered a few more bags. lol

Anyone who’s seared a beautiful rib-eye steak or removed a crispy-skinned roast chicken from the oven knows the excruciating anticipation that accompanies the resting period.

You got a problem with delayed gratification? What are you, some kinda savage who needs to rip into hot meat like a monkey on a cupcake?

    Anticipation, baby!

My brother has for years been some sort of high up muckity muck code writer for nuclear reactor security. All I've ever known about it is that it involves the military and government both..

Think about that when you go to bed tonight.....

Would be more useful to combine with the decline in family.

Government is the new religion and family. We can just look at every other country to see how that worked out. (Excluding micro countries with Pop of less than NYC SMSA.)

You could also look at countries where religion is really, really important and note what a disaster they tend to be.

    lhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Importance_of_religion_by_country

The ones where tolerance of other religions is not a thing, right? I didn’t even open your link yet but I am guessing.

Not all, no. Of course, it's possible that tolerance is actually a far more important quality than religious belief. And generally, countries are less tolerant than they like to think. This applies now, with the cancel culture, as well as back in the halcyon days of Senator McCarthy and segregation, back when everybody was sooooooo religious.

You know, for much of our existence, America has been a pretty religious country. As prosperity goes, we haven't done too bad...

Nobody's arguing about how rich you are. I'm not sure that had much to do with religion.

I wonder how many people a year around the world die, are enslaved or oppressed in terms of human rights?

I’d like to contextualize that with the impact of climate change.

I guess the woke progressives have no room at the Inn for them.
