Is it More Common Now to Vote AGAINST a Candidate
-
The forum thread on Vice President Harris made me think.
Do you guys think it is more common now vs. past elections that people are more like to vote AGAINST a candidate rather than in favor of one.
I think it did happen in 2016. Secretary Clinton was not a very good candidate and a lot of people were not sure about President Trump, but they for sure knew that they did not like Secretary Clinton. So, the voted against Secretary Clinton by voting for President Trump.
In 2020, I dont think most people were thrilled with President Biden but they knew they did not like President Trump. So, they voted against President Trump by voting for President Biden.
Has it been like this always or is this a recent trend?
