Trump on Israel

Come on, Larry - he was hinting around at something big happening on 1/6 for weeks before then spoke to the crowd personally, telling them to go to the Capitol and fight like hell. I won't go so far as to say he is totally responsible, but he was most assuredly involved.

Are you aware that he asked Pelosi to post 6,000 extra police around the capitol ahead of time and she refused? If he was behind a planned attack on the capitol, why would he try to beef up security that much?
I watched what he said at his rally. He was quite clear in saying it was going to be a PEACEFUL march IN FRONT OF the capitol. He was very clear in that. And there has been zero evidence to support the notion that 1. Entering the capitol was planned or 2 that those who did enter were trying to take it over.
There was a PEACEFUL protest march in front of the capitol planned, no evidence Trump was involved in that planning, zero evidence it was going to be anything more than a PEACEFUL protest OUTSIDE the capitol, and a few crazies got out of hand and a small mob formed spontaneously. Nothing more.
But it serves a purpose for the democrats: instead of talking about the fact that China and Russia just jointly threatened the US, instead of focusing on the fact that the democrats and Biden are handing this nation to China on a silver platter, instead of talking about the battle between those who think government should control the people and those who think the people should control government.... They have us talking about their addiction to hating Trump.

I do not disagree with the last paragraph at all, and I think the country was in better hands 11/2/20. But the election brought out Trump’s personal weaknesses.
That said, can you imagine what the press coverage would be on COVID today if Trump were in office?
Here's my question:
In my experience, middle management at media companies are VERY sensitive to public reaction to their content. It's their job, and it's their ass if trends spiral down.
On the other hand, you have woke Kool-Aid.
So, how long will it take them to wake up to the fact that most of the country has already started turning their backs to them?

Woke outrage has an outsized intimidation factor because everybody is afraid of being labeled racist or bigoted or pick-your-leftist-synonym-for-evil. The culture will need to be well beyond mostly tired of it all, because each individual will still fear for their social and economic lives should they find themselves in the crosshairs.

Sooner or later, you run out of other people to cancel.

I don't think it'll take that much. Living in a totalitarianship really sucks, and everyone not indoctrinated knows it. All it takes is a large-enough alternative community, and the grip will quickly slacken. Look what happened to the Salvation Army. Look how ineffective they were in cancelling Chappelle. And Cleese. And Seinfeld. And Peterson.
Also, what Jolly said. They're too rabid to even remain stable among their own.
