Others have said it. Get Roku or Google TV if you want on-demand video rental, netflix, hbo max, youtube, etc.

Both of them have all the apps you'll need.

Smart TV is basically like a modern phone running on your TV.

First time owning my own house/yard. Mainly mulch with a little rake/bag (well, yard waste bin) for the times where LOTS of leaves would fall overnight. I know mulching is good for the yard, but also heard it can lead to some thatch down the road.

AppleTV — because I want to extend my Mac’s desktop to my TV

AppleTV is more flexible, more powerful because you can run many third party apps on it, including interactive games.

Chromecast is a one trick pony — you can cast media onto your TV through Chromecast and that’s it.

I once considered Firestick (also cheap) but by that time I already have AppleTV and Chromecast and I figure I would not have time to play with yet another gadget. I can stream Prime Video just fine using the Prime Video app on the AppleTV.

Roku — I figure there’s no point having it unless I also subscribe to the Roku service, so it was never a serious contender for me.

Same here. Not fond of hospitals, especially not as a patient.

The few times I've been in the hospital, I've not wanted any visitors other than hubby and our kid. If I'm there, it means I'm very sick or hurting or both, so stay away, people.

I did know about dropping the kids off at the pool. 😊
