@improviso said in Should've brought an extra bucket of electricity: @mik said in Should've brought an extra bucket of electricity: My judgement now is she is a moron. Former San Luis Obispo mayor and climate change activist Heidi Harmon attempted to “do the right thing,” and travel to a rally in San Francisco in an electric car. Hell... the first sentence in the article told me that. Yup, anyone who is not lost in a parking garage looking for an outlet is doing the wrong thing.

@jolly said in "Common Platform": I used to think for effective change, one first had to hang all the lawyers. I think I'm changing my mind, because starting with beancounters may be even better. Which one is the root of all evil, the law or the beans?

Sounds logical. Sometimes you have a patient present with all the typical symptoms of early COVID, but the immunoassay is negative. But the docs also want a CRP level. If that is jacked, you can book it. PCR can come later...

I saw some of that. It was interesting but still speculative. Given the German reputation for recordkeeping, one might think it would be easier.

There is nothing wrong with considering the idea. We almost certainly should not do it, but an additional option is never bad.

We are all experts concerning how telomeres work. Fix the telomeres and the broken DNA and everyone lives for a thousand years. Simple. Next, we'll slow down or eliminate telomeres altogether. No more trouble makers. And everyone lives for a million years. Then comes the next challenge. We'll fix it.

It's a government lunch It has to be a lunch that offends nobody. Made by a diverse group And, of course, ends up being almost useless to everyone

@horace said in Sandwiches for air fryer: I love my air fryer and use it almost every day. The microwave was in many ways a culinary crime of technology, but air fryers are ok by me. Yeah, I'm really big on the air fryer - and we have a cheap one. I used to grill a lot. Now, it is air fryer. I use it at least once and most often, twice a day. I made teriyaki chicken last night along with egg rolls. I love reheating things in it as well - does a great job.

I just saw a story that the 29th Democrat is not seeking re-election this year. But, how many of those seats are safely Democrat, regardless of who runs? If my congresscritter, Jesus Garcia, didn't run, I have no fantasy that he would be replaced by a GOP candidate.
