@lufins-dad said in Is it over?: @xenon said in Is it over?: After this wave... is there anything left to do? Yes, declare your side was right and hold the other side in derision. It would be good if you can find a way to punish them, too. LOL So true.

Seems like it makes perfect sense. Index funds, blind trust, etc. would work if they want to be involved in the stock market.

Yes, mainland china does not allow dual citizenship. From my understand, if you carry a mainland Chinese passport, you are not allowed to have any other. I think Germany may also be like that. @Kalus may know about that.

My FP still tells patients to take it, and has for well over a year. Along with prednisone, zinc and Vitamin D.

@mark said in RIP Ian McDonald: She should be impressed. I think I know who you are talking about. An Ireland based, redhead by any chance? I recall an american accent.

Not on the same scale, but people in my town who offer parking for Patriots games can get fined $100 per vehicle. Greedy twats.

Don't know if this means anything to you, -- it doesn't to me -- but Pewter Plank reports: "Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive back Ronde Barber has been snubbed by the Pro Football Hall of Fame this year. How it was announced was just cruel to the Buccaneers legend." https://thepewterplank.com/2022/02/10/buccaneers-ronde-barber-snubbed-hall-fame/?utm_campaign=FanSided+Daily&utm_source=FanSided+Daily&utm_medium=email

@lufins-dad said in Gonna see the boy this weekend…: Preferably in the not too scary section of Newport News? In a little scarier section of NN. I like to look at these boats. I drove across the James River Bridge yesterday, if you aren't familiar, this bridge is about 5 miles long, with a nice view of the shipyard while headed east. If you are on the bridge headed east, you will see two huge light blue cranes. What is left of the Enterprise is under the crane on the left (north) in dry dock. You can still see the Big E painted on the tower. But the ship gets a little smaller every time I drive by. Between Newport News and Portsmouth and Norfolk is some impressive military infrastructure. Most of it is off limits, but you can see aircraft carriers as you drive around the area. The battleship Wisconsin is open for tours. The Bible is just as relevant today, as it was when the events described in it happened. Human nature does not change. Knowledge does. Technology does. But not human nature. There will always be those who will use their assets to further their careers.

Of course, if you're smart enough, good-looking enough and smart enough, you can work for Fox News...Did I say smart?... [image: 007e7855e359781e75178ebe72386588.png]

@george-k From what I have read it was very difficult for DDS, but he did manage to compose a lot which he referred to his confidants like Weinberg, Shebalin and Khachaturian as being “for the desk drawer” and would only receive public performance when the circumstances permitted. Still, in DDS’ sarcastic way he slipped in a lot of quotations and fragments of his “for the drawer” compositions into his film and stage music without anyone in authority taking notice.
