Again, what would another President have done differently? Not rhetoric, but action.

For presidents, rhetoric matters, especially during a global pandemic. Rhetoric is what got Trump elected. It's also what got him impeached.

Rhetoric is cheap. Actions are golden.

In Germany, it's considered "high tech" if we send each other fax

    I'm reminded of @jon-nyc comments:

Person on the phone: "Can you fax that over to me please?"

    Jon: "I'm sorry, I can't. I don't have fax where I am."

Person on the phone: "I see, where is that?"

    Jon: "The twenty-first century."

Ah, but I used to fax stuff all the time from my phone...

It’s a scam between the towing company and the management of the apartment complex. They get a little kickback from the the tow company. Likely under the table. Say $15-$20 per car... $50 a night? Maybe $20K a year?

In 95 million years, they could even pay for Biden's $1.9T bill.

They may be a good speaker, etc but that is not the same thing as smart.

I think that is true of politicians, for example our current VP, future POTUS.

But I think to climb to the top of that industry takes some intelligence.

Of course there are exceptions. One that comes to mind is the lady who sat next to Wolf and rolled her eyes and giggled every time anyone said "Sarah Palin".

Somehow the director caught this discrete move on camera with a closeup every time.

While crossing the James River this AM on the James River Bridge heading to Costco in Newport News, the drawbridge was open.

This is a big bridge, about 5 miles long.

While waiting for the drawbridge I could see 3 aircraft carriers.

The Enterprise CVN 65 is in dry dock just left of center under the huge blue crane. Known as the big "E" this carrier was decommissioned 6 or 7 years ago, since then they have been trying to figure out how to take apart a nuclear carrier. That dry dock is where they build all the carriers, so if it is on that prime real estate they must finally be doing something. You can see the big "E" painted on the tower.

To the right of that under the next big blue crane is , I believe, the Kennedy CVN 78, the newest of the Ford class.

Next to that, just at the right edge appears to be a carrier tower covered with scaffolding. I couldn't quite see it.

The Ford has been in and out of port, but is, I think, off the coast now.

I think this stuff is cool.

You can just make out the big "E"

Did the photos show that he was on Capitol grounds? If so, then it’s open and shut.

He claims he "never entered the building."

Gaspari (his attorney) said Ibrahim was outside the Capitol because “it was a historic event.” She said he did not pass a set of metal barricades outside the building that were quickly overrun by the crowd.

Therefore, do you equate the schedule of an outgoing President with a newly elected one?

The answer is yes, I do.

President Trump claimed he had won the election and would be president for four more years. So, in his mind, he was not an "outgoing" president.

A US president is not elected to be president for 3.7 (or so) years, they are elected to be president for 4 years.

I would never equate the two schedules. One is a lame duck, on his way out. The other is trying to establish a new Presidency, and should be busier than a one-legged man at an ass-kicking contest.

They're doing the card thing in MD and NY.

The media has figured out how to predict, dominate and the new horizon is guide your behavior. You have a new master.

One of the things I like about him is that he's very open-minded about music.

Often times—and especially when they can explain themselves—it's a good indication someone knows more than me about a thing. I like hearing from folks like that.

Just don't listen to him talk about music theory. He doesn't make it any simpler. I'm sure he knows what he means, but I very much doubt that anybody else does.

    @andyd

Andy, we have lots of wrens here, too. Every year we have at least one pair that nest in our yard. Their song is one of my favorites.

They're so tiny, yet fierce in protecting their nesting area. When we get too close they start hollering. For a small bird, they can be quite vocal. 😄

That reminds me that it's time to add a couple new nesting boxes for them, to gradually replace ones that are worn out from years of use and weather. We repair the birdhouses as long as we can, because they seem to like having the familiar boxes from year to year. Eventually, there's no fix left except replacement. It seems to help to have the new ones out for a year to let them age or weather a bit, and then the birds accept it as a substitute.

It helps to have several houses for them, and the males build in multiple homes. The females shop to pick one they like, and add their own touches to it. I think 89th has just gone through this, too. 😉
