It’s funny I went to Russia briefly in 2019.
I remember thinking when I was contemplating the trip that there’s a small chance Russia would do something in the Baltic states (I thought) and we as Americans could get caught up in it somehow.
It wasn’t a serious enough thought for me to really contemplate not going, but I did think about it.
I definitely would have given that hard hard thought in Feb 2022. I’m pretty confident I wouldn’t have planned such a trip in 2022.
(For the record, when I went to Ukraine in 2004, I had no such concerns)
