@Mik said in "Get a cat...": That’s a message, not an accident. We had the "opportunity" to cat-sit D3's cat (Carly) for a while while her apartment's plumbing was being tended to. I put a litter box in the guest bathroom, and Carly, being a big cat, would do this. It's not because she was (ahem) pissed off - it's just that she was so big, she's stick her ass out over the edge and just miss. D3 told us that she doesn't do this at home, because her litter boxes are bigger. Of course, Boris and Maggie never, EVER, make a mistake like that.

I can’t really speak to moving in… Thanks to MB, Luke has moved in a week before the general campus move in weekend. Moving out has been friendly enough…

I am OK with how the venue handled this. Maybe the protesters will learn something and refine how they protest in the future.

@Mik said in Christmas present for Aqua?: He would, but for his daughter. Pretty sure he wouldn't want to explain 'fuck the pumpkins' to her. I'd wear a hoodie over it whilst at home, definitely.

@Aqua-Letifer said in The Threat: @LuFins-Dad said in The Threat: @Jolly Yeah, now ask them which media… What does that matter? Both sides are right. They are, but both sides think their media is fine, it’s the other guys… Even Bernie believes he’s a moderate…

It would be nice to zoom in on where in the process the sane people get filtered out. It's fun to lament the crazies we eventually have to choose between, but that's not the part of the process that admits to a solution. One might discover that there are no sane people running, and everybody looks insane when put under the microscope of important public office.

A version of that has always been the complaint. That’s why the Robert Reich’s of the world prefer price controls and attacking “corporate greed”.

@Doctor-Phibes Hell. I conflated Gillette with Jolly's post about BPS. Cats, aka Fog Brain.

20% is way too high. In any other social climate than modern Western civilization, I'd say 10% is too high.

@Copper said in "I aged out of it.": If a soccer player gets too old for the Under-12-years-old division, they age out. That’s the usage I hear.

Somewhat related and not very well, known, but Premier Kim Il Sung of DPR Korea had a similar thing on his neck. Below is one of the few pictures of it, as he was always required to be photographed from the left side to hide the vision of it. [image: kim_il_sung_tumor_1980s.jpg]

@taiwan_girl said in The state of China's military: They are either afraid to make a decision because of fear of upper level bad feedback, or because their whole background in schooling and training is based on being told what to do, even officers do not know how to think independently. Sounds like the mindset of the Russian military.
