In the context of our newly created Diversity and Inclusion department, which by the way spams my inbox daily with updates about all the exciting things they are accomplishing and that they need everybody's help with, I was curious to see whether anybody announced their pronouns. 30 new hires this time around, and not a single pronoun announcement. This doesn't seem to be catching on.
One Chinese woman asked everybody to use her Chinese name, which wasn't remarkable, as it was the only name listed on her intro slide. But her company email address has a first name of Karen.
