Trump lost, you’re in a cult.

Without addressing any of Jolly’s credible allegations regarding media manipulation and information suppression, to jump to the ad hom is a losing strategy if you’re interested in maintaining reputational credibility.

    But you already know that.

TDS is an emotional truth that doesn’t need to be substantiated. In fact one of the defining features of TDS is the assumption that it doesn’t need to be justified. The most perfect expression of this was when I heard a comedian absolutely destroy with a joke about how the worst part of Donald Trump is that he’s Donald Trump. Donald Fucking Trump. The audience could barely breath through their belly laughs after the 10th repetition.

    Defund them. Now.

I do not want my tax dollars in any way supporting NPR. Let them rise or fall in the private sector.

Vox article on Costco’s $4.99 rotisserie chicken

    https://www.vox.com/future-perfect/23207301/costco-rotisserie-chicken-poultry-farming-inflation

Speaks of Costco setting up its own supply (vertical integration) for this “loss leader” product that has been selling for $4.99 each for the last 11+ years, the “big chicken” industry trend, and associated environmental and societal impacts.

Costco did the same thing with its hot dogs - moving them to vertical integration.

For all the talk people make about buyings sustainably, buying from the US, etc. buying habits of people are mainly driven by their wallet.

He was pretty accurate with his brick throws to the glass.

He should be pretty easy to identify. But, crooks think they are the smartest person in the room, but they are usually the dumbest.

The runners practice constantly to improve their reaction speed. Maybe he is just that good. I would be curious to the science behind this rule. No problem with the rule, but let's see the data that no one can react faster than 0.1 seconds.

    Folks,

The U.S. is a Republic. As such, Ms. Cheney is the elected Congressman from Wyoming. In fact, the only one. As their representative, she needs to listen to her constituent's wishes and needs. But being a Republic, she can vote as she wishes.

And the voters of Wyoming can throw the bum out, if they wish. It is becoming increasingly apparent that is the wish of the good people of Wyoming.

May she get her ass stomped in a humiliating defeat, so that she may enjoy the air of Northern Virginia, which is where she lives, anyway.

Reminds me of a buddy of mine who used to work a drilling rig off the coast of Africa. As a condition of the oil lease, it was stipulated that the drilling company had to hire a certain percentage of natives.

Folks, drilling rigs are not playgrounds. There are multiple ways to get yourself killed, especially if you have no clue what you are doing. First week of drilling, they killed one. Company representative went out to talk to the family, paid for any funeral expenses, and gave them a compensation check for the loss of their son.

That one check was more money than the combined family made in a year.

The next week after the funeral, the mother showed up at the company office, next son in tow, wanting to know if the company still had her dead son's old job open.

@Horace said in WaPo columnist calls on media to 'cover Biden more positively': 'Relentless negative coverage is toxic':

It’s entirely reasonable for a person to bias their coverage if they believe their bias is to the good. And of course everybody feels that way. We are post-truth in our cultural values. We are post-freedom-of-speech too. It’s all emotional truths and narrative control from here on out. He who adheres to truth loses the political game. Because people are stupid.

I wouldn't say post-truth, we are post-factual. In fact, we are in the era of truth! My truth, your truth, everybody's truth! It's all good! Unless you try to mess with my truth with facts. Then fvck you.
