I agree, everyone is on WhatsApp. I also use telegram a lot, and prefer it over WhatsApp if I can choose. They offer real encryption, better anonymity, larger groups with many thousand members, a good desktop app, and a few other things that WhatsApp does not have.

@Copper said in Biden family's breathtaking corruption: @Renauda said in Biden family's breathtaking corruption: Maybe you should do something about it. Like you did? I could never do anything as clever as your post. Gee, that was really biting wit. Thanks for sharing, we all owe you so much. Not nearly as much as you deserve.

It makes very good sense because a charge is a half hour or or more. Meijer has already been doing it.

I thought that was pretty funny. LOL I remember reading a story about torture. And they would put a heat source very close to the person. And then throw cold water on them. What you get is not what you were expecting.

When it comes to the Kennedy's one probably shouldn't use the phrase 'shoot the messenger', but still....the problem RFK has is that when he asks this question is that it's not going to get taken seriously due to all the other vaccine-related nonsense he's come out with. Also, correlation isn't causation, obviously. Still, if Americans are getting prescribed these things a lot more than everybody else. I guess it's worth asking why. Does the nature of health-care in the US lead to this sort of thing?

@jon-nyc said in A Nation of Beggers: @Jolly I don’t know. A friend of mine told me that during the hyperinflation era they didn’t put price tags on staples in the grocery store, rather they’d announce new prices every few hours. He told me about a woman crying when they announced new prices as she went to put some of her items back. I have a friend who worked in Taiwan Economic Cooperation Office in Brazil during their time of super high inflation. Credit cards were usually not accepted by most places because by the time the company got paid by the credit card company, it was worth so much less. TECO had to keep large large amounts of cash on hand to pay everything.

@Horace said in Joe speaks: He's literally too stupid Did you miss the introduction? Dr. Wayne Frederick, the president of Howard University, introduced Biden with high praise at the school's 155th commencement on Saturday. "Admired for your sound analytical intellect and open embrace for all, your popularity on both sides of the aisle of the United States led to your illustrious reputation and outstanding service of 36 years as a Democratic senator from Delaware beginning at a tender age of 29," Frederick said of Biden.

I am ineligible to donate in the US for two reasons: too low a weight and visiting Thailand I can kind of understand the Thailand issue, as they are concerned about malaria. Wieght, I am not so sure. A lot of people in Asia smaller than me donate. But realistically, people in Thailand donate blood all the time.

I figure to maintain a beard like that, without looking homeless, you actually have to be a guy who doesn't mind spending some time cleaning. Anyway, well deserved. That guy is a generational music talent.
