Yep. We do this all the time in our neighborhood. The larger area has a Buy Nothing FB page.

Did they get any value from the three traded guys*? *Assuming they are all male. There are no rules against females competing in the NFL. Her body, her choice.

@Mik said in Hay LD: We got us a football game. Great playing for both. Holy crap. I had to work and was listening instead of watching. I got tied up with a customer when it was 21-21. Got back to the game when it was 34-24 or something like that, but even with Pittsburgh up, the Pittsburgh radio guys were still anxious. It wasn’t until that last first down that we relaxed. Your offense is downright scary.

I’ve given anesthesia for probably hundreds of total knee replacements. The number of skinny people who have had this operation I can count on the fingers of one hand. However, it was not unusual to see normal sized people having hip replacements.

@Mik said in Is there some non-obvious scam here?: Brushing. They send you products you didn’t order then write fake reviews in your name. I got a bottle of some sort of heart health nitro something or other. I think Mike is right.

By the way, I made the stock the day before. After making the roux yesterday, and adding the stock, it was "OK," but needed a little something more. So I did two things: I threw in a splash of rum (!) for some sweetness For more umami, I slowly added "Better than Bouillon" - ended up being about a teaspoon. That really worked well.

I’ve read a lot of history from his era and he figures pretty large for a non-president.

But I would definitely expect him (Johnson) not to cooperate, as well as the other Johnson.

Here's a New York City story. There are certain people when they were out on the street, or standing somewhere that--in a crowd when you just randomly passed by, a light just SHOWN upon them. Harrison Ford was like that, on the other hand Paul Newman was just a short Jewish guy, Tom Curise has that, same with Tony Bennett. The best ever was Bill Clinton. In a crowd that guy just glowed in the dark.

https://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2020/12/22/why-cincinnati-called-queen-city/4007103001/ It's the real thing, From Henry Wadsworth Longfellows poem about Cincinnati "Catawba Wine" that we all love so well: The winds and the birds shall deliver To the Queen of the West, In her garlands dressed, On the banks of the Beautiful River. (This would be different from Longfellows poem: "Cowabunga Wine" about Bart Simpson's home town, Springfield.)
