This T-38 jet was doing some sort of route At 3,000 ft when it essentially dropped to 800 feet as it flew over DCA Reagan airport. Here’s a screenshot I took of the replay. So weird.

It was brought to my attention since a departing Delta flight to Minneapolis (that I took the exact same one in December) got a collision alert and had to ascend faster or something.

Actually looks like there were 4 jets in formation flying over Arlington National cemetery, hence the flight path…

        https://wtop.com/arlington/2025/04/near-collision-investigation-reveals-reagan-national-airport-controllers-failed-to-stop-flights-during-military-flyover/

TLDR: Flight controllers didn't hold departures for 5 minutes like they're supposed to during military fly-overs. Also, kudos to a damn article with actual TLDR facts in the title and not clickbait!

I'm trying to find the tower audio that the article/CNN heard, but no luck yet...
