@Jolly I'll give him a pass on that one. I can see him just extending his hand in a non-specific way. Also, the Easter Bunny wasn't there to spirit him away.

Renauda knows a lot more about this than I do, but the average U.S. exploratory well is 7800 feet deep. A lot of the oil wells talked about in the article ain't near that deep. Not near. Now, how hot it is in these shallow wells, I don't have a clue. But I doubt it's enough for heat pumps at multiple households. Or electricity generation of much quantity at all. Secondly, who owns the rights on these wells? Mineral rights are a forty-acre square in Louisiana for a vertical well. What are geothermal rights? Lastly, many of the wells they are talking about are in sparsely populated areas or in hard to access areas. Wonder how well geothermal would work there? The electricity generated would have to be transmitted long distances for the most part.

Probably because, A. Infowars does not have the footprint or influence of CNN. Except for the MSM ya-ya, the vast majority of Americans would not have heard Jones' opinions on this matter or much of anything else. B. Infowars, AFAIK, has nowhere near the deep pockets of CNN. The parents will have the satisfaction of bankrupting the company, but other than shutting Jones up on this subject, what did they accomplish? Nutters gotta nut, on either end of the political spectrum. He makes his living off of agitprop. He will continue to do so.

The alternative to seasons is sunshine and equatorial rainfall. Now, think how boring that would be...

I thought Enterprise had started to hit its stride when it was cancelled. Probably the only one of the more recent versions I thought had promise. And who doesn't like a hot Vulcan? @Jolly said in Math homework in Missouri: Private. All my grandchildren except the youngest attend private schools, all Christian-based. It shows. I second this That's not to say that private schools don't have their own issues. It wasn't perfect, but I have no regrets sending my kids to private school.

@George-K To be honest I never realised he was in his 70s. For some reason I thought he was much younger.

Turned out really well, but next time I will make a light tomato sauce instead of diced. Still, very close to what I was trying to do. Yum.

@George-K said in The Easter hunters wish you a happy Easter!: This is such a wonderful, refreshing thread. Bless you and your froggos, @brenda ! ETA: Is their trilling seasonal? We had all kinds of froggos at the Cheddarshack, and every spring the racket was unbelievable. Yes, the trilling increases during the spring, and this spring we have two that are big trillers, and one that I suspect is male, but has not trilled yet. The gurls are not vocal usually, but are capable of making an occasional chirp. Their job is to make the males follow them around, which happens more now. We'll see where that leads ... Really, they are not much different from hoomans that way.
