@Axtremus said in Dear Democrats: I am not a taco: @George-K said in Dear Democrats: I am not a taco: Could be worse. She could be a macaca. She, the author, is: “Danielle Alvarez is the Republican National Committee’s communications director.” That was clearly disclosed at the end of the article. So don’t go thinking you’re reading the opinion of a non-partisan, concerned, private citizen. You’re reading a piece of partisan messaging from the Republican National Committee published under the name of the RNC’s communications director. Unlike the stuff you post on a daily basis.

@Mik said in I haven't decided, yet...: One on left seems to be doing pretty well. Deceptive. I don't know if the female lead is her (looks a little like her) but she ain't in them clothes (or lack thereof). The Rock ain't in this one and neither is the guy on the right. Ron Perlman, Jason Statham, Burt Reynolds, John Rhys-Davies, are.

@Doctor-Phibes said in How Germany is it?: @Klaus said in How Germany is it?: @Doctor-Phibes said in How Germany is it?: @Klaus said in How Germany is it?: @Horace said in How Germany is it?: you count how many world wars it's instigated. Whether we instigated WW1 is debatable. Moltke freaking planned it in 1905! https://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-26048324 Almost all of them pin some of the blame on Germany. I actually agree that it was complicated, and probably doesn’t really matter at this point. I agree that Germany certainly deserves a large part of the blame, but the whom-to-blame situation is not nearly as clear as in WW2. Several nations were eager to go to war at the time...

I'm surprised it doesn't topple over after landing. Tall skinny object, wavy movement underneath.

@taiwan_girl said in Heading to the UK: @Horace Hopefully you have some free time or evenings to explore. But I know that those types of trips after a long day, you just want to go back to your room and relax. What, and miss the chance at having a warm, flat, beer?

They stink when you skin them out and they're greasy. Plus, ain't nothin' like walkin' by a dead cow carcass and watching the possums scatter out of the body cavity.

Tell them not to get too attached to it. If you read down into the article, today it's pets, then they shift to people.

@Klaus said in History is how you write it: Interesting. How many small versions of this incident go by unnoticed, I wonder? Bunches. Wiki is what it is, and I use it just like most folks, but don't take it as the gospel truth.

@NobodySock said in Bring Back The Draft: Finally, something I can agree with from you. You dimwitted ostrich. Been saying it for a very long time. Each and every 18 year old should serve minimum 2 years in the armed force of their choice. But there is no getting out of it. A law. An enforced law. I know it doesn't go well here in this forum full of college grads with daddy's spoon still stuck up their butt, but I believe our country would be so much better off by forcing high school grads to give back to this country and learn some respect and gratitude before daddy sends them off to become cynical smart people with no common sense. How was rehab?
