Very nice. Should last a long time and be maintenance/trouble free. I've always had a fondness for Mazdas. They're just different enough from Toyotas and Hondas to make them interesting. ETA: Might wanna blur out the license plate, because I'm paranoid.

@Jolly said in About 5%: It's different now, though. We don't have COVID wards like we did...Around here, they now put them in negative pressure rooms on the regular med floors. And it seems like we don't see the 40-something with no comorbidities dying with COVID. So, who needs to be vaccinated? Elderly folks and people with comorbidities. In young people, especially teenage guys, we may be doing more harm than good. I think we need to take a deep breath, realize COVID is endemic, look at the limitations of the vaccines and revaluate when and how often someone needs to be vaccinated . I'm happy for them to re-evaluate if they do it properly. So many of the decisions associated with this seem to be politically motivated, particularly in the US, which is really unfortunate. The last thing we need is talking heads driving health policy.

Certainly a rare sight. Got me wondering what it would be low to perform CPR on, say, a blue whale.

I watched it a few nights ago. I enjoyed it. Felt like an extension of the last movie or two, so probably necessary to watch those before this one. Top notch chase and fight scenes, otherwise a pretty basic story compared to other bond movies. The stairwell fight scene near the end was spectacular. I think it was about 2 minutes of a continuous (tracking) shot, which is always really fun to see in a movie. Watch it here if you want: click to show Link to video

Nice. Very nice. Speaking of warship porn, here's a recreation of the Battle for the Bismarck. With Legos. In stop-motion. Link to video

The scandal I know of was in Rochdale - it's in Greater Manchester, but it's really a Lancashire town separate from Manchester. It was girls, rather than boys. This was a huge scandal that broke around 2011. The police and social services hadn't done due diligence, probably because they were worried about being accused of racism. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rochdale_child_sex_abuse_ring

@Jolly said in Worse Than Trump: Trumpism. Multi-ethnic support. Populist. Pro Middle-class, particularly blue-collar. Low taxes. Strong military. Pro 2nd Amendment. Pro Freedom of Religion. Pro-business. Tariffs, if needed. Border security. Law & Order. Pro-life. Pro energy independence. And willing and able to fight for all of the above, instead of being "nice", rolling over and playing dead. Jon will probably post a very similar list.

@LuFins-Dad said in I’m so glad I have a subscription to Apple TV plus: Jenna Bush has managed to have a successful media career WITHOUT dragging her famous parents onto a show with her… Jenna’s parents would be more of a liability than an asset, on the account that even most Republicans who want to run for office don’t want to be seen with Bush 43. Still, whether intentional or not, Jenna continues to benefit from the Bush name, as evidenced by her having officially changed her name to Jenna Bush Hager by marriage, yet still you know and refer to her only by her maiden name Bush.

Send 'em to Florida. Let the GALS eat 'em. Or vice versa. Either way is a win.
