Hey Jon

Wow, that sucks. I'm sorry to hear that.
Would it make a difference if you'd increase the volume of a dose? Like, take three shots at once?

Well the response is dose dependent so something like that. The problem is no institution will do that today except as part of a registered clinical trial.
I’ll likely do it my own sneaky way at some point. Keep in mind there’s still hope for a B-cell and T-cell response.

Maybe you find this interesting? Maybe you've already seen it.

That piece in science says they saw some improvement after dose 2 and that their data will be out shortly.

Thanks for your excellent explanation, @jon-nyc .
Didn’t realize that the vaccine efficacy data look so grim for transplant survivors on immunosuppressants. Here’s hoping for robust T-cell and B-cell responses for this population. -

Damn. Damn, damn, damn.
So N95 for the foreseeable future?

Yeah, I would not hesitate to get another shot or two. Especially since it is getting easier to do so.

Dose 3 scheduled at 10:45. A rite aid in the Bronx.

@jon-nyc, no word on T-cell and B-cell memories yet?
Sorry it looks like this makes you more dependent on others getting vaccinated, on herd immunity. -

I’m in the waiting area now. Much more chill than in March at Javits. Lol

Jon, are you getting the same Pfizer shot, or have you considered mixing them up? I heard a discussion on the radio the other day that there's a theory that using different vaccines could increase their effectiveness. For obvious reasons, it's not something that was tested in development.

Thought about Moderna and discussed it with a few docs. They thought a Pfizer booster would be better.

The theory is that two different vaccines is a bit like showing your immune systems two different profiles of the same face. It made sense to my totally uneducated brain, but those damn doctors probably know better.

Well, they just thought that, since the Pfizer response is dose dependent, it would be the most straightforward way.

The good news is that you can sell the extra Vaccination Card on the black market for good $$!
Seriously, thoughts and prayers are with you!
