Here's a pic of an 11 year old and her 6 year old brother. They go to a school near me and were pulled out of class to be told their parents were taken by ICE yesterday 1/13. The dad was working on building local homes. You know, basically a murderer and drug dealer. The parents will likely be flown to Ecuador so they signed over temporary parental rights to a neighbor.

@Horace said in ICE kills a US citizen in Minneapolis:

I don't know how meddlesome they can be. I've read that they have taken control of the video evidence, but the shooter himself released the primary video to the public. There's a hypothetical scenario where there is video not seen by the public, nor MN state officials, which is being held by the FBI, and that video would be helpful for any legal case against the shooter. That's just a hypothetical. I'm not aware of any reports that there is juicy video the public hasn't already seen. What the public has already seen sure does seem to be enough to build a case with, according to many, so maybe we'll see it.

And then if convicted Trump can pardon him.

Presidential pardons don't work for state level crimes.

Tell that to Trump who ‘pardoned’ an election fraudster in Colorado then punished the state (canceled a federal water project) for not honoring it.

The whole reason we call them illegal aliens is because they’re subject to our laws.

Right, and the US can't declare war on a country without a vote by Congress.

          I was only joking

No, that was retribution for CO's illegal machinations to remove Trump from the ballot. A scheme so blatantly unconstitutional that SCOTUS dunked on it unanimously. A scheme so corrupt that even Trump haters on this board disagreed with it. (One of the above claims is false.)

And the "pardoned" person remains in prison in CO. And there are appeals and discussions from the governor going on about how her sentence was unduly harsh.

Yes, that's true too. Loopholes around military action without declaring war, take that up with most presidents.

                https://www.cbsnews.com/minnesota/news/off-duty-twin-cities-officers-profiled-ice/

Police chief says 'Off-duty Twin Cities officers among those "targeted" by ICE agents looking for proof of U.S. citizenship' ...

"I wish I could tell you that this was an isolated incident. In fact, many of the chiefs standing behind me have similar incidents with their off-duty officers," [police chief] Bruley said.

                      Yeah well summarized.

Also if you watch videos of other police shootings, usually the office is completely distraught over it. This guy, not so much.

                        Public opinion on ICE:

Over 80% of Republicans think ICE's enforcement are "just right" or want ICE to go even harder.

I think if everyone saw what was really happening (or again, just go on reddit) absolutely no one would think they're doing about right or not enough. It's appalling.

Republicans choose to consume different media. E.g., they may choose FoxNews-like outlets that air segments on government welfare fraud rather than ICE activities in Minnesota. You may not be effective at getting the Republicans to see “what was really happening.”
