Nope, I’m just calling you out on your hypocrisy.

If you equate fairness with hypocrisy, so be it.

I guess it depends on your definition of fairness. Like if it includes billionaires filing expensive but frivolous lawsuits against middle class women in Iowa.

Normally, a person would say that's a crappy outlier poll and carry on.

But no, because of an election shot through with murkiness, bad practices and simple outright cheating, highly unusual acts become highly suspect. Get used to it. Much like Dingy Harry's disregard for long-standing Senate rules, Dems have shifted the paradigm.

THIS is the new reality. You may not like it, but you're going to live with it, and probably die with it. As will I.

If Trump has one over-reaching redeeming quality, it's as a catalyst. Maybe it's a reaction that's not for the best, but a lot of times, the end result is good. The end of overt election interference is good. The end of election cheating is good. The end of lawfare is good. The end of Justice Department persecution is good. The end of the "basement strategy" is good. The end of Sullivan will be wonderful.

You see no good, because of hate.

Well, as mama said, you've got the same pants to get glad in. On January 20th, Donald J. Trump will become the 47th POTUS.

The President of the United States and the President of Jon.

              Enjoy! 😄😄

Quite a change of heart in just two weeks. Or maybe it’s just different when it’s his guys rather than some random government employee with a very DEI-ish title that he exposed to his 200+ million followers.

(To be clear, I’m not a fan of publicizing the names of federal workers in controversial areas whether it’s Elon doing it or a twitter rando, really just pointing out Elon’s hypocrisy here)

Not having been born in the last three weeks, I’m old enough to remember when republicans didn’t think the White House’s job included policing its view of disinformation.

Free speech != free access to the white house press briefing room. I'm glad they have seats for "new press", and if they'd like to hold the AP accountable for being obstinate about the Gulf of America, ok by me. I don't mistake calling it "the Gulf of Mexico" for a principled stance. It is a child holding their breath.

The AP is an international news provider and its an international body of water. Only one country refers to it as 'Gulf of America', which is even a minority of those that touch its shores. Not to mention the rest of the world.

If Cuba hand changed the name to 'Gulf of Fidel' would AP holding out be like a child holding their breath?

When the WH spokesman says 'we're holding you accountable for speech we don't like' the first amendment is implicated.

In context, obviously that accountability is limited to access to the WH briefing room, and the first amendment is not implicated unless you're motivated to squint.

Fair enough, you could make a case that the AP stories are not for an American audience. The practical truth of the audience that reads these stories would probably work against that claim, but the theoretical claim could still be made.
