There's a lot of hand-wringing and shoulda coulda, but I don't see him offering an alternative, assuming that the US wants to get out.

If not this way, how?

He rambles on and on, but doesn't actually suggest a solution, he just knows this is bad.

And he's not the only one. All the usual suspects are berating Biden's decision (which, tbh, sort of mirrored Trump's decision), and offering nothing in terms of suggestion as to what to do, other than stay.

And he's not the only one. All the usual suspects are berating Biden's decision (which, tbh, sort of mirrored Trump's decision), and offering nothing in terms of suggestion as to what to do, other than stay.

I don't see how staying is going to make anything any better.

People who praised Trump's isolationist instincts are now saying this is the worst decision since the last really bad decision, presumably made by a Democrat.

Afghanistan just seems like a clusterfuck to me. The Superpower killer.

I heard Paul Wolfowitz on the radio this morning saying it was a disastrous error. And he sure knows a lot about those.

There are only two possible outcomes - we stay or we go. Was there any possibility of a positive outcome by staying or had all that could be accomplished been done? It's been 20 years.
