Poll: Most Americans think Trump at least partially responsible for Capitol attack
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-impeachment-poll/poll-most-americans-think-trump-at-least-partially-responsible-for-capitol-attack-idUSKBN2AD0LH“(Reuters) - Seventy-one percent of American adults, including nearly half of all Republicans, believe former President Donald Trump was at least partially responsible for starting the deadly Jan. 6 assault on the U.S. Capitol, according to an Ipsos poll conducted for Reuters.
But the national online poll, released on Saturday, also showed that a smaller proportion -- only about half of the country -- thinks Trump should be convicted of inciting insurrection at his Senate impeachment trial or barred from holding public office again.”
MSM deluge.

It’s over. Can’t we keep it that way? Since the loss Ax seems to want to keep sending notes that somehow prove the dems won.
When you lose you lose, right? He’s pulling a Donald.Worst losers ever
Worst winners ever -
50%of those polled would have said Trump should be prohibited from ever holding public office if asked on January 5th.....2017.
Let’s not pretend that there has been some massive shift in opinion.
-
Oh, and Trump was somewhat responsible for the attack, but so was a lot of those that voted for or against impeachment. He bears some more individual responsibility but less than they do in aggregate.

Attack, what attack? We have it on impeccable authority that it was just a few doofuses taking selfies.
Move along, nothing to see.

What words would you use to describe what happened?

@renauda said in Trump Senate defense: the American people already rejected me:
Like I already said, I really don't care.
You care enough to make fun of the "a few doofuses taking selfies" characterization. At least a couple times that I've seen.

@renauda said in Trump Senate defense: the American people already rejected me:
If what happened on 6 January can be falsely reduced to a few doofuses taking selfies it can just as easily and, inaccurately, be inflated into a putsch.
Besides, it's fun to mock doofuses.
It was definitely a few doofuses taking selfies in the Capitol, having entered through the unguarded doors.
What's really sad is that the police weren't motivated to do their jobs, due to the precedent established by left-leaning pop culture and its condemnation of any law enforcement action against the BLM riots in 2020.

You know something, Horace?
You're probably right.

Thank you Renauda. I am waiting for the rest of the forum to line up with that sentiment. Then my project here will be complete.

A few come to mind. Given the make up of the mob, I'll settle for Putsch. I may be wrong but I also may be right. I really don't care.
Nah, that happened in CHAZ.
It was surreal to watch the lack of outrage over that. A neighborhood taken over by a violent leftist mob, the police fleeing because they knew they could not do their jobs. Who the fuck said anything? Some here even made fun of those who thought it was a big deal. Leftists are fucked in the head.

Remember the stories of how women were being raped and attacked and the police couldn't do anything? But that doesn't compare to some dude sitting in Pelosi's chair...
