I imagine the food they eat while fighting fires is better too.

The Picards were a shame. It could have been very interesting, especially if they ditched the gratuitous cameos of old characters.

BTW, I once hear a famous porn star interviewed about current male porn star size and anal sex scenes. She said the only way to do those was to cleanse out a day ahead of time, but more importantly, she started dilating three or four days out. First, with smaller plugs and shorter times, working up to larger plugs and longer times. Maybe the above MRI accident was just the case of a working girl in preparation for her job.

Modified Weaver? Really neat pictures. Always did like a .357. Nowadays, the factory loads them down. Back in Georgie Patton's day, they were the real deal...Took some Blue Dot one time and made some dinosaur loads. You got that fireball and your chest wall would vibrate.

@jon-nyc said in And the widow wore fire engine red...: They seem like really fun people. Sorry for your and their loss. The guy lived a great life. Had a very responsible job managing a large staff, did a lot of mission work through the SBC (mostly funding, but he did do several trips abroad over the years) before and after retirement, had a great marriage, two good kids and a passel of grand and great-grands. And he had a great Rollie Fingers mustache for most of his adult life.

@Aqua-Letifer said in Let's say you have a dead body in the living room...: Coffee grounds + wax = good portable fire starter. Another good use for Altoid tins. I take machine shredded paper strips put them in paper egg carton cells then pour hot parafin over the shreds. Shreds stick to the carton cell and you have an instant fire starter pod. One or two pods is all it takes to start a campfire.

@kluurs The presenter is essentially correct, although he does not appear understand that in Canada, the provinces hold sway over onshore natural resource development and the energy industry. Outside of some specific regulatory issues the federal government has little say or any constitutional jurisdiction. Can’t fault your man for that, the majority of Canadians don’t understand it either. However, it is not like expanding capabilities in downstream facilities like refining and petrochemicals has not been considered or tried. Both Alberta and Ontario have delved into expansion only to discover that the export market isn’t there and industry has little appetite for the risks involved. Our Prime Minister in waiting, Pierre Poilievre, that your presenter quotes and whose Conservative Party will win a landslide majority sometime this spring talks big about expansion but, as a Federal government politician, really has little power to make it happen. It resonates with the electorate but that is about it. In any case I have already addressed this very issue here on at least one occasion. Your presenter who knows what he is talking about, only reinforces what I have maintained all along: https://nodebb.the-new-coffee-room.club/topic/6822/what-does-it-take-to-piss-off-a-canadian/3?_=1736612872993

@Doctor-Phibes said in Couple Ls for the fat man: So, who is Trump more similar to, Gandhi, Nelson Mandela or MLK? Not weight-wise, obviously. Both George’s and my examples were off the mark legally but I hit the nail on the head in terms of personality traits.
