@George-K said in Time to retire, Iggy: You're older than I am. Stop it. Precisely because he is older than you are, he will give even less of a fuck than you do, and more likely to keep acting as he pleases.

Ironically my 2 year old brought me a little TicTac container this morning and I told her I guess the original Tick Tock still exists. She didn't get it.

Massachusetts has just repealed the requirement to pass MCAS in order to receive a high school diploma as a ballot question on the 2024 election. To be honest, if you're lucky enough to go to a good school and live in a good area (one and the same thing), it doesn't make much difference. I kind of suspect the same is true if you're unlucky enough not to.

@Jolly said in The Boneyard Falcons: what it would take to get 50-60 of them up to snuff and sitting on a Ukrainian airfield It would probably be cheaper to just pay the Russians to go home.

I farted during one of the plays yesterday and the ref threw the 15 yard flag for roughing the passer on Mahomes

@taiwan_girl said in Blow, Blowed, Blown: Never heard of him. Me neither. I've never heard of Eddie Scarry either, so was completely unaware of what is apparently a very important feud between two indivuals who do something or other.

@taiwan_girl That is one of the reasons I think we need to re-open/re-join the TPP. Not at all likely in the foreseeable future. In fact, I am confident that US foreign trade and investment policy during the coming four years will be to undermine that and other multinational trade and investment agreements and partnerships.

What I dont understand is, especially for someone in the military, is that if you go on a interview and bash your bosses and organization, why do you think that there will be no follow up or consequences? If I remember, we had a discussion on this about someone at a company who gave an interview(?)/podcast(?)/wrote a book(?) and then was surprised when there was follow up. I think the consensus from this forum board was that, yeah, you can say what you want, but be prepared for follow ups.
