The frozen packs are tough. Better to freeze fresh, if possible.

I finally got my real ID today. Passport, electric bill, drivers license, social security card and $43 - about 50 minutes at the DMV no big deal

I work just around the corner from an Amazon warehouse in the burbs. We frequently notice it on our lunchtime walk.

I've passed by her channel sometimes. I think GK has posted about her too. I have trouble stomaching the bubbliness, it's too over the top. And the repetitions drive me nuts. But I know that's probably why she's popular. Her bubbliness is genuine. Anyway, that's a great song.

@Mik said in The Ten-foot Paint Job: Isn't that really a rebranded Mitsubishi of some sort? No, the Dodge Neon was not a rebranded Mitsubishi. The Dodge Neon was developed in-house by Chrysler Corporation and was not based on any Mitsubishi platform. It was a unique design built specifically for Chrysler's compact car lineup and was sold under the Dodge, Plymouth, and Chrysler brands. Dodge-Chrysler-Mitsubishi Connection: The confusion might stem from the fact that Chrysler and Mitsubishi had a partnership through the Diamond-Star Motors (DSM) joint venture. This partnership resulted in shared platforms and rebranded vehicles like the Dodge Colt, Eagle Talon, and Mitsubishi Eclipse. However, the Neon was not part of this collaboration. The Neon was a distinct product, showcasing Chrysler's design and engineering, with no direct ties to Mitsubishi in its development or design.

@George-K said in On the legality of DOGE: Let's see what the courts say about "subject to the jurisdiction thereof". It will be an interesting argument. That's about as interesting as saying let's see what the courts say about "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State ..."

We used to have one, about a mile from where I lived. Great place with a sign that said, "We have it in stock if we can find it." Closed 15 (?) years ago. Closest Ace is about 3 miles away. I'll go there before any big box.

@Copper said in Do you watch inaugurations: @Horace said in Do you watch inaugurations: Trump sounded fine cognitively, but more importantly, measured and reasonable in tone. That's no guarantee that it will be reported remain that way. Seeing clips of President Biden from 2019, etc, the decline until today is starling. Yes, people in their 90's can remain quite sharp. I hope President Trump is one of those.

China is doing a lot with car technology. Small, relatively cheap electric cars are all over Thailand. They look nice from the outside, but I have no idea how well they are built or how safe they are.

The guy makes a good point, and re-says it the last 10 seconds or so of the video. Large Projects involving things like LNG or oil are years/decades in the developing. President Biden says he stop permitting, it WILL NOT immediately stop exports to Europe, Middle East, etc. The effect will not be seen for years. Same if President Trump says he will open permits to everyone, it not like production will double overnight. It will be years to see that effect, and in the meantime, another administration will come in, and modify Bidens/Trumps order. I think I have mentioned this before, but I was at a roundtable with the CEO of PTT (semi national energy company of Thailand, Fortune 100 company). He was talking about Thailand, but it would apply anywhere I think. Anyways, he said that he doesn't really care who is in power. Weather they are more "business friendly" or less "business friendly". What they look for is stability of one path or the other. That would help a lot in their planning. But since he knows that policies will change, they choose a middle course and plan long term based on that, knowing that 5/10/20 years ahead, things will generally even out.

There's the famous quote by the Chinese premier when Kissinger asked him for his opinion on the French revolution - "Too early to say", although disappointingly this arose from a mis-translation of what he actually meant.
