He was in good company, as Paul McCartney also used his vocal talents on the same album. That is Vincent Price on the Thriller album Dracula? Dark Shadows Vincent Price is one of the three. Which media? Oh, I've got it - very nice. The Vincent Price was mentioned in a different thread I think ***=NSFW content***click to show The Saint Vincent Price, Roger Moore, Val Kilmer Winner, winner! Chicken dinner! @Doctor-Phibes The challenge is trying to figure out who’s bribing him to make his latest ill informed little speech.. My bets are on the pseudo-conservatives. You know, the ones who are wholly convinced that conservatism is the same thing as the libertarianism they think they espouse.

Companies would be well served in many jobs, if they hired non-degreed people for those jobs and invested in a little training. I agree, but until everybody stops getting degrees, it's not going to happen. It's a chicken and egg situation. If you have a choice between a graduate and a non-graduate for the same money, you're always going to pick the graduate. In my experience, they tend to have better communication skills, more ambition, and more of a willingness to take on new things, things that aren't that easy to train. In my line of work, non-degreed people often kick the shit out of those with a bachelor's. The latter can often be high-minded, arrogant and object to the nonsense they inevitably find out of school whereas the former often have an unromantic "anything that works" mentality. But the hiring practices still haven't changed. I have a bachelors level of education but only an AA degree. I’ve made a career out of outwitting MBAs and making more money than most of them. There’s great power in actually knowing how to do something. I’ve also long advocated that you can teach a bright, motivated candidate a technology a lot easier than the converse.

The fact that the guy had two broken ribs, found at autopsy, lends credence to the "combative" story, though that could just as easily have occurred after he was strapped down. he had two broken ribs, which State’s Attorney Dan Wright attributed during Friday’s hearing to Moore’s being strapped in so tightly facedown. I'm not buying that - you strapped someone down so tightly that you broke ribs? Nah. Another Cadigan attorney, Edward Unsell, said it’s more likely that the broken ribs Moore suffered resulted from hospital staffers’ attempts to resuscitate him. That said, I see no legitimate reason for strapping him in face-down. Weisahaar said Finley told him that she monitored Moore’s vital signs on the way to HSHS St. John’s Hospital. But Wright played for the court a recording of Finley’s call to alert the hospital of their arrival in which she said, “I’m not messing with vitals because I don’t want to poke the bear.” This is negligence, to be sure. At least make sure the guy is breathing, ffs.

@Klaus said in How many have you been to?: @Horace said in How many have you been to?: @Klaus said in How many have you been to?: 13, too! Which is it? You mean to which ones I've been to? No he meant “too” sounds like “two. So is it 13 or 2? It’s all good, it’s rare to be able to keep up with Horace’s wit.

First time I was there was in 2014. Loved, loved the city. Last time was 2017. It was unrecognizable, and the cabbie that was driving us was lamenting the decline. I can't imagine it now. @Kincaid ! Anything to add?

@jon-nyc said in Go Bengals and Jags!: Why does it piss you off? The neutral site? Or the fact that they’re already selling tickets? The fact that they completely ignored their own policies and procedures throughout the process. They had policies in place to cover the exact situation of a canceled game not being made up. And those rules don’t call for coin flips and neutral fields. You follow the rules you have in place. If you wind up not liking the results, then change those rules going forward. Don’t change them mid-stream. Had they followed the original agreed upon rules, the Bengals were assured a home playoff game in the WC. They could have then rested their starters in Week 18 and would have had the chance to have a “bye” week going the playoffs. Instead, they had to play 2 “do or die” games in a row against a very physical and violent divisional rival. They are going into this week down several starters that are just too beat up. Divisional Round and Conference Championship Weekends are considered to be the best 2 weeks of football and superior to the Super Bowl. The Home Crowd excitement and cheering is considered to be a huge part of that. Neutral Site games ruin that. A lot of insiders are pointing to the headline about “Over 50K tickets sold in one day” and are thinking they will make a move for all Championship Games to be neutral site…
