I am very sure ChatGPT could have diagnosed my appendicitis in the emergency room that one time I went there complaining of excruciating abdominal pain and they shrugged and told me they had no idea what it was. After I suggested it might be my appendix.

A phased approach is best. Just a sudden an immediate end would be chaos. But this adds another nail to the HEROES/Student Loan Argument currently before the Supreme Court.

Not always. Most of the dogs that we board are great with Finley, but there are a few we have to watch. Not that they would be violent with him, but in play they would bowl him over. Dakota (our 15-16 year old Border Collie) is indignantly patient (reminds me of that husky meme where the one is laying and rolling his eyes) with the lad.

Okay, we can write the script for ourselves, right? Hey, Aqua! We don’t need @Aqua-Letifer , we need @ChatGPT ! INT. PIER - DAY A man, JASON, is fishing at the end of the pier. He is focused on his fishing line and doesn’t notice the large Tarpon swimming near the surface of the water. JASON (excited) I think I’ve got something big on the line! Suddenly, the Tarpon bites down hard on Jason’s arm. He cries out in pain as the Tarpon pulls him over the side of the pier and into the water. JASON (struggling) Aaah! It’s got me! Despite the pain, Jason holds on tight to the fishing rod and starts pulling the Tarpon towards the pier. The Tarpon fights back, pulling Jason through the water and thrashing wildly. JASON (determined) I’m not letting go! With a powerful pull, Jason manages to bring the Tarpon up to the side of the pier. He grabs the fish with his free hand and struggles to get back onto the pier. JASON (panting) I’ve got it! I’ve got it! The Tarpon continues to thrash and fight, but Jason holds on tight, determined to bring the massive fish onto the pier. With a final surge of strength, Jason lifts the Tarpon up and over the side of the pier, where it flops and thrashes on the wooden planks. JASON (breathless) I did it! A crowd of onlookers gathers around, amazed by Jason’s feat. He smiles in triumph as he holds up the massive Tarpon, his arm still bleeding from the bite. JASON (smiling) Looks like I’ve got a new trophy to add to my collection. FADE TO BLACK.

@LuFins-Dad said in Hey LD - saxophone query....: @Doctor-Phibes said in Hey LD - saxophone query....: Have you ever tried plastic reeds? Cane has always been the bane of my life, and now I'm picking up the instrument again, I'm looking at alternatives. I'm waiting for a delivery from legere.com - one reed costs roughly the same as an entire box, but should last about a year, and more importantly is much more consistent. I'm still horribly rusty after not playing for years, but this might help with one of the irritations. I’ve not. I think plastic reeds were originally for playing outdoors like Marching Bands. They were supposed to give you more volume. Over recent years decades, I understand they are much better, but I’ve been a creature of habit and not tried one. Please let me know how it goes. I haven’t played since COVID and am getting ready to get started again. I got the Legere, and I've played it for three days. I can definitely see the appeal. It doesn't play quite as well or feel the same as a really good cane reed, but it plays an awful lot better than a bad one, and it's the same every time, doesn't need wetting, it just plays. The first day I thought I'd wasted $40, but it's grown on me, and today I enjoyed playing on it. My chops are still in pretty bad shape after an extended lay-off, so hopefully it will get better as I do. The strength is a bit harder than cane - I play a number 3 Java Red normally, and got a 2.5 Legere American cut - this is on tenor.

I worked at Fenway Park as a vendor for 8 years - 1969-1976. I received one tip for the entire time, one. A guy gave me a dollar. He must have been a Rockefeller, maybe he was drunk. The pay was all commission - 10%. If you were selling ice cream in April you might run up and down stairs for 3-4 hours and make $3.00 for the game. If you were selling beer in August you might make $20 or $25 for 3 or 4 hours. I think these vendors make very good money in tips now. Times change.

Should just be a nice flat tax for all. 20% based on any income. Easy.

@Axtremus said in Sage’s Law: @LuFins-Dad said in Sage’s Law: The very fact that schools FOR ANY REASON withhold information from students legal guardians and custodians is so completely outrageous and is a complete violation of the compact made between educators and parents. Exceptions are reasonable when legal guardians/custodians are reasonably believed to be the abusers inflicting harm on the students. This is one of those cases where you like talking out of your ass because you think it's fun to piss people off by peddling your simpleton propaganda. We do actually have a system in place to determine whether information should be withheld from legal guardians and it sure as fuck isn't, "whatever the Math teacher thinks is okay." None of this has anything to do with gender, but their making it so led to this tragedy.
