@Mik said in The key to stopping a CCP invasion of Taiwan?: TG, would you go home to fight? I have no idea about your continued ties to Taiwan. No right or wrong answer here. Just wondered how you felt about it. My heart says "yes", but I realize it would probably be more support than actual "front line" fighting.

But, will he ever be able to succeed his father (or even President Trump) in a game of golf??? ".....the 38-under-par 34 reportedly fired by the late North Korean despot Kim Jong Il, a man known to his people as Dear Leader and to you and me as Dear Top-the-Leader Board. According to official North Korean state accounts, Kim’s round, the first he’d ever played, was highlighted by five aces." https://golf.com/news/behind-kim-jong-ils-famous-round-of-golf/

@Mik said in China's decline - coming soon (another article): That's another discussion. It's well known that China does all those things repeatedly and enthusiastically. Correct. And many also require foreign companies that do business in mainland China to take on a local partner. I have talked to a few people in that area, and most foreign companies sell at least one or two generation old technology to China as they know it will be tried to be reverse engineered.

Old article, but it points to the theory that weight gain is not as simple as just the calories you take in. https://www.nytimes.com/2006/08/13/magazine/13obesity.html

@NobodySock said in “Arise, Sir Brian.”: Certain spots in certain songs that called for Freddy’s highest notes would be supplied by Roger while Freddy took the octave lower or just didnt sing it at all. It was just spots here and there not overly done. But enough to help out Freddie because those high notes add up, This old man knows and is thankful for added female singer in the band

The speed might be about the same, maybe a little faster in the jet. There are turboprops that are much faster. I don't know for sure, but the operating cost might be lower in this jet. A single private pilot can fly it, but you need an add-on endorsements for high-altitude and a type-rating for the jet. The parachute is a big deal. Showing off the jet to your friends is worth something.
