I honestly get it. This is a fight that I grew up with at home, and now as younger generations have gotten older, it's happening in the office. But I find myself not being a participant. Just this week, I was working on a project with some proper Gen Xers—I'm a bit on the cusp—and 2 millennials. There was some uncertainty about how best to handle a few details. So, the Gen Xers and I wanted to make some alternates to try out different ideas. The millennials were shocked and offended. "What, and do twice as much work? They didn't ask us to do that, why are you suggesting that?" We found this both perplexing and hilarious. "They asked us to do a good job! This is what that means! And are you shitting me, this is the only kind of fun a stupid-ass project like this affords us, you're gonna just forfeit that? Are you sure you like doing this kind of work?" It was a weird conversation.

Oh, I get it. One grading period in igh school, after I discovered girls and beer, I brought home three F's. It was a life threatening altering experience.

I wonder about the constitutionality of this bill. The people elect an individual based on their feeling that s/he best represents their interests. That should be independent of the party. -> should <- We've seen many Congresscritters switch parties in DC over the years. Can you imagine the havoc this would cause if it were proposed on a federal level?

I imagine the human equivalent to be a toddler choosing an empty box from a roomful of fancy toys.

I doubt they make much more money by being diverse or inclusive. But they might avoid losing money to bad publicity, screaming and threats from the pro-woke. But if the anti-woke can create a bigger stick (like with Bud Light) the policies could change.

Ironic too because one of the slides is on "hassle free reading."
