This, as of yesterday, is at an all time low (since the beginning of covid) [image: 1693766929968-7455afdb-06a1-48b2-b449-1b7f7cd3f6ed-image.png] https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

@Jolly said in Winning The Chip War: Export controls? Isn't that somewhat similar to an export tariff? No, “export tariff” means you can legally export something as long as you are willing to pay the government extra money to do so. “Export control” further includes limitations like “you cannot legally export at all” or “you can only legally export up to certain quota” regardless of how much extra money you are willing to pay the the government. It a difference between a “tax” and a “prohibition” or a “quota.”

It’s not about climate change, it’s about regulatory boards in various states. We already discussed the California issue in multiple threads.

I’m not surprised, if you pick the right homeless, as they did: And people with severe mental health or substance use issues were screened out of the initiative. Even still, I’d like to see a follow-up of the money spent not based on “self-reporting” But I’m not sure how you take that south of the border.

Just curious ... anyone tried out the Henle Library app? (I haven't, I read about Henle's plan for a sheet music app years ago and thought they had good ideas, but I haven't follow up.)

@Renauda said in Is Luna 25 alive?: One would think so. One can be forgiven, I think, for suspecting foul play.

I guess that explains why many of our mudders didn’t let their kids play in the mud.

Don’t know, but Bowie felt SRV had something. I remember reading an interview with Jimmie Vaughn years ago in which the interviewer asks why he had not met with same success as his younger brother. Jimmie simply responded by saying while he was primarily just a hot blues guitarist, Stevie was first and foremost a musician and an artist. Bowie probably saw that in him as well.

Wayne County, the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit issued a decision holding that the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment requires the government to give owners a hearing within two weeks, in at least some cases where their cars seized through asset forfeiture.
