An encouraging talk. But, I am not sure I agree with the below But he said the US cannot deter the Chinese threat alone, calling on other nations to be “force multipliers” against Beijing. The US could deter China alone, but I understand the need to encourage other Asian countries to increase also.

@Axtremus said in Somebody let AI do his homework: Unfortunately not everybody cares. People who are willing to believe (or at least not dispute) Trump‘s “many people say …” stuff are unlikely to care about citation and reference accuracy. Even here, where we believe our regulars are more thoughtful, more informed than the general population, not every one thinks references and citations are important. Unfortunately, it is something both sides are guilty of. If it is (generic) your side that does something stupid, it is easy to dismiss. If (generic) you is on the other side, it is a big deal. It is a rare politician who is willing to speak up against their side.

Yes, interesting life. Did some good things, but did some bad things also. I am guess that he believed that most rules did not apply to him.

As health supplements go, that one is probably more reasonable than most. At least you know that if it does make a difference, it'll be a positive one.

Hate to break the news to you, I know this is news because I am smart and thought of this before anyone, but society is made up of individuals. Thousands, some even say billions. We're one big bell curve. There will always be outliers...some think the earth is flat, some think there's T3H B4RGE!!!1, some love conspiracy theories... hey they are kind of fun to think about, and if you're in a spot in life where it explains hardship by blaming something else, so be it. Society has always had these faith/blind believers against forces of power. Throw a worldwide epidemic that killed 7 million people (including half a million in the USA in the first year)... that'll get a few more folks talking about "they".

I think my school did some of these things too. Those last weeks were celebratory. I, though, could not attend. It was determined I had the wrong PhysEd course for my university entrance (my credits were from another school), so in order for a mark to be submitted for the right course, the principal and PhysEd teachers had me doing all sorts of stupid stuff during grad week. One of my tasks was to have the grade 10s practice their golf drives in the field, another was chaperoning students to a local 9 hole course.
