@LuFins-Dad said in All is fine.: Finally played for me. I don’t really have an issue with a section of the gunwale having been cracked then welded… I’ve seen far worse. Bro it MOVES. All the welds ripped.

Related: The Media’s Slow-Motion Train Wreck of a Week Just for starters... PBS celebrated Black History Month with an interview that included, among other things, praise for the infamous former Black Panther Assata Shakur. Absent from the fond acclaim was any mention of the fact that Shakur murdered a police officer in 1973. We call this “burying the lede.” Shakur escaped from prison in 1979 and later claimed political asylum in Cuba, where she lives to this day.

I'm in agreement with Tyrus. "I can't wait for this to be over". It is Tyrus' contention that Black History month celebrates people for being black while accomplishing something, when they ought to celebrating the accomplishment by a person who just happens to be black.

Sounds delicious. We went to lunch at a great Chinese place in a really sketchy area. For $30 with tip we got crab rangoons, soups, Lo Mein and Hunan Chicken and two egg rolls. We had so much left over we had it for dinner.

Lufin, trust me - it’s better than the restroom in downtown Indy near the Embassy Suites where they v ch it thecstalls halfway down to discourage the junkies but failed. There were discarded syringes and spoons, and red on the walls where they squirted blood.

We used to use the tax rebate as a mini-bonus - we tended to get a decent one when we had a big mortgage. Now, it's pretty much zero, but we do have a bit more disposable income than we had back then, as what remains of the mortgage payments are in turn a lot lower. We're a bit lazy with cooking - we use Feast and Fettle for a couple of meals a week. It's cheaper than eating out, which we only do maybe once a month - that's got a lot cheaper since we stopped bringing the kids with us.

@George-K said in "Moon facies": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moon_face Cushing's disease is caused by a cortisol-producing tumor of the adrenal gland. Cushing's syndrome is a collection of findings consistent with Cushing's disease, but can be caused by external steroids. Classic appearance... Amy Schumer reveals she has Cushing syndrome After Schumer was a guest earlier this month on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” where she discussed the second season of her Hulu hit “Life & Beth,” some on social media critically commented that her appearance had changed. Schumer responded to the comments in a scathing Instagram post by explaining there were some “medical and hormonal things going on in my world right now but I’m okay.” [image: 1708809400696-screenshot-2024-02-24-at-3.16.23-pm.png] In an interview published Friday on Jessica Yellen’s News Not Noise newsletter, Schumer revealed she has exogenous Cushing syndrome, brought on by getting steroid injections that resulted in excess cortisol in her body. According to the Mayo Clinic, the condition can lead to weight gain, fatigue, “moon face,” headaches and other symptoms. Schumer said she felt “reborn” learning her diagnosis, following an uncertain series of tests to determine what was going on. “While I was doing press on camera for my Hulu show, I was also in MRI machines four hours at a time, having my veins shut down from the amount of blood drawn and thinking I may not be around to see my son grow up,” Schumer recalled. “So finding out I have the kind of Cushing that will just work itself out and I’m healthy was the greatest news imaginable. It has been a crazy couple weeks for me and my family.” Unanswered, of course, is why was she getting steroid injections? Moon facies occurs after prolonged, and high-dose steroid use. Along with the hump neck.
