My extremely important opinion here is I travel about 5-6 times per year and I have found renting from Alamo has been a consistently good experience. One time I had to use Budget or another company and it was t3h sux0rs.

@Horace said in Feeling old yet?: The more time you spend on the treadmill, the longer the day feels. I feel that way about our elliptical in our basement.

It’s surprising that so many key crops are grown in relatively few places.

@Axtremus said in 100 Students in a School Meant for 1,000: Inside Chicago’s Refusal to Deal With Its Nearly Empty Schools: Is it really bureaucracy, or the people/voters don’t want to let go? I think both. In this case the people/voters are also the bureaucracy so kind of the worst case to get progress in this situation.

A quote from a progressive white female lawyer on a Trump hating podcast yesterday, went something like "I loved Justice Jackson's dissent so much. She was just Black Girling all over that court." This was in reference to the birthright citizenship case, where Barrett's majority opinion specifically called out Jackson's dissent as removed from any legal grounding whatsoever.

The leaps and bounds made by AI video in the last 12-24 months is insane. We might already be there, but soon enough it will be impossible to tell what is real. Scary future!

I rather liked him. But this probably improves the odds of a democratic pickup, such as they were.
